PBA: Two games in, Powerade looking to part ways with McCants
http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/story...s-with-mccants
Sana ipalit na agad nila si McCants, medyo high expectations sa kanya. Hindi rin pala ganun kagaling.
Ang ganda ng laro ni Rabeh, Jondan, Sean nun, kaso, McCants was the missing link. Rudy Lingganay is giving his best, Adducul needs a little more shape-up, I'm sure he will be interested to reshape himself kahit one last time since Taulava, Seigle, Dorian are really stepping up again.
I hope iwas-iwasan lang ni Anay Lingganay ang kanyang madaliang tres na tira, J-Vee can still be a quiet contributor, basta pass lang kay Gary, Rabeh and Sean. Tugade must shape-up again, i-shape na rin nila si Guevarra. Sayang e. Sana bumalik na rin si Alex Crisano, para may reserved big man kay Rabeh and Rommel. Or even a back-up forward kay Jondan, since Sean is not a post player.
Sayang e, nawala pa si Doug Kramer. Kung nandiyan siya, ang lakas nila. Kaso wala na e.
Hope they change their import habang hindi pa huli.
Rashad McCan't
Rashad McBum
yung timeline nito sa twitter puro Lakers need him daw tweet mababasa mo.![]()
This team is bleeding with the lopsided deals they made. Hopefully a new import can carry this team. Sayang they were already a contender. Bigay na lang din si GD and kung sino pang puputok sa Petron. Let them have a 24-man lineup kasi kulang pa din daw sila dahil madaming injured.![]()
balik kangkungan nanaman tong team na to.
BAKIT KASI HINDI KUMUHA NG MAMAW NA IMPORT. SOMEONE WHO CAN BANG BODIES INSIDE YET ATHLETIC ENOUGH TO PLAY W/ THE RUN AND GUN TYPE OFFENSE OF POWERADE.
Omar Sneed to replace McCants as Powerade import
After losing two in a row in a short PBA Governors’ Cup tournament, Powerade has just pushed the panic button.
The Tigers decided to give Rashad McCants the pink slip and bring in replacement Omar Sneed.
Powerade head coach Bo Perasol confirmed the news to InterAKTV on Monday night.
“We’re bringing in Omar Sneed. He will leave tonight and is expected to arrive tomorrow night,” Perasol said in a telephone interview.
The Tigers’ next game will be on Friday – against the rejuvenated Alaska Aces – enough time for the 35-year-old veteran international campaigner to adjust to the team’s system and get himself acclimatized.
McCants, an NBA veteran, failed to live up to the team’s expectations as the Tigers lost their first two games and fell to the bottom of the standings. His last game wasn’t that bad as he finished with 23 points, including five triples, but his team lost to the Barako Bull Energy, 106-101. He scored 27 points in his debut against Petron Blaze.
Sneed, listed 6-foot-6 in the United States, is coming off stints in Turkey and Uruguay, where he posted decent numbers. He averaged 16.9 points and 6.7 rebounds while playing for Turkish team Mersin. In Uruguay, he only played for three games, but averaged 17 points and nine rebounds.
In the 2005-06 season, the Jerusalem Post selected Sneed as the BSL Most Valuable Player of the Year after leading the Maccabi Rishon in the Israel League to the Final Four. He had averages of 18.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.

I will not react if it's a fair deal. Please backread sa post ni Sir JPM sa thread na to. The Lassiter deal did not make sense. Why would Powerade trade one of their best player? If it's a firesale and the team is having money problems, why would they get Rabeh, etc who they have to pay more than Marcio's rookie salary?
C'mon, talagang maraming apektado how your team creates imbalance in the league. Sad to know na nakondisyon na rin yung ibang fans like you to think the your lineup will never be enough sa kakafantasy basketball nyo.
Not a fan of lop sided trades, iba pa rin pag balanse ang liga mas exciting, Pero masyado ka namang focus sa Petron inde lang naman sila ang pumapasok sa ganyan.
And regarding the Marcio Trade kanya kanyang interpretation yan kung patas o inde,in my opinion definitely not lopsided.![]()
so far maganda ang pinapakita ni Sneed, 7 assists sa 1st half. keep up the good work guys!
