french fries are overrated and i wish that they'd stop including the fries on the burger meals.

i'd rather have a larger hamberjer and a bigger drink than fries on the side!

More - unpopular opinions I hold - - I have no compassion towards squatters and fully-able, healthy beggars. Families buy these properties with plans to use them in the future and ikaw pa ang ma-abala if you try to make squatters leave? fLuck it! I also dislike the "victim" mentality of some home grown Filipinos....get a life! The news about the nurses and how it was sensationalized and made played the RACE CARD...Pwedi ba, I'm sure a big hospital like that will do everything to make sure hindi sila makasuhan ng EO board or whatehaveyou. Augh.

this is very similar to the braindrain concept i'll call it chimaidrain

Nun si Cesar montano nakasali sa isang hollywood movie called the great raid, automatically si boy abunda at kris aquino panay panay na propaganda na pinakamagaling na artista sa buong mundo daw mga pinoy. Even the movie posters were augmented to make it look that way.

i agree, its only a promotional stunt, but dont you think that their are promoting it more than the usual? if its a common hollywood movie or a local japanese movie, i dont think it will be all over the tv shows, its even promoted in a freaking cooking show. last time i remember they publicize a movie this magnitude is a movie also of ken watanabe with tom cruise. that may speak for itself if theres any reason what is the big deal in ken`s movies.

and about cesar montano, of course the movie will be sold using cesar popularity, how can even the pinoy masa recognize hollywood no names?

i guess you have not yet seen the "Nippon Ichiban" beer commercial of ichiro? that phrase does not suggest anything to you?
they may not say it directly that they are number one and proud, but the idea is there.

But at the end of the day, he is just a sports hero. I even read one poster dito comparing him with someone like Ninoy or Even Jose Rizal. WTF? Pero to say na lahat tayo world class dahil world class siya is absurd.
this "proud pinoy" is a common issue here that pops up time to time especially with pacquiao and there is always two sides of the issue. theres no use for arguments if you are on the not so proud side, we cant help it if being proud of pacquiao or other world accomplished pinoys does not come naturally to you, and also you cannot do anything to those who will be automatically be proud. you can say that we are only piggybacking pacquiao`s success, we can say, its your loss if you cant feel a thing on your pride. its like being proud of your own son or daughter`s success in school. and i guess nothing is wrong with that.

    P.S
things are always get blown out of proportion, especially in the internet world, but it doesnt mean that it is always true.

aside from kayabangan, most are untidy and disorganized pa.

when you look for an apartment in the US, you look for a place that was previously owned/rented by non-blacks. otherwise, the place is a mess.

Absolutely not. Kasi to be fair naman, lumaki lang naman exposure ni Ken Watanabe weeks before the release of the movie in japan. Naturally he is Japanese so he will be able to promote it at best in his home court. BUT the main point is that at no occasion naman was Ken watanabe promoting Japan. He was promoting the movie. Yun namang the last samurai, kahit wala naman si Ken watanabe dun, paguusapan naman talaga ng mga hapon yung movie na yun because it reflects yung history ng bansa nila in a mainstream film that is for wide release.

Minsan sa isang award ceremony, pinag-usapan pa yan as if me kinalaman siya sa event. Me interview pa sa kanya when he was at the boot camp preparing for the movie.

Buti sana if Cesar was the lead character, but he was only there in the movie for like 30 minutes. Pero sa posters, parang siya yung pinakabida. I did not see any poster of Inception or the Last Samurai that was altered to make it look like Ken Watanabe was the main star of the movie

It was an add for kirin products, and if you listen naman to the add it does not necessarily mean naman na Japan is number one. It actually connotes something more like "the number one beer in Japan", or something to that effect.

I think you are missing my point. At no time ko naman sinabi that Pacquiaos achievement is not something worth being proud of. His country should support and be proud of him as well as any other athlete out there regardless if they accomplish something as big as he did or not. THAT WAS NOT THE ISSUE HERE.

The Issue here is that we should not take the achievement of one individual and celebrate it that as if it is actually reflective of a whole populace or nation. Sige ill follow the annalogy you gave. Ikaw halimbawa Honor student ka. Pero pano kung yung tatay mo lasengo? Yung nanay mo bungangera at walang pinag-aralan. Yung kuya mo adik, yung ate mo sawsawan ng bayan? Is that enough to actually redeem an entire family? Of course they have the right to be proud of you. But that does not mean your achievement reflects theirs.

Its not just on the internet that this is blown out of proportion. Actually Lito Atienza was one of the first use Pacquiao in the same sentence with Jose Rizal. I mean sure kahangan kahanga si Pacquiao at dapat nating ipagmalaki, pero come on. He is a sports hero not a Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, or a Ramon Magsaysay.

    P.S.

Pride is also something you put in its proper context

    My unpoplular opinions:

After ni NoyNoy dun na natin kailangan ng totoong leader who would move the country forward.
