To set the record straight, Alpargata shoes are nothing new. Itís been around since 14th century or so.

Both Paez shoes and Toms shoes are considered alpargata shoes. Iím not sure which company started first but weíre not in a race so that doesnít really matter.

What I donít understand is why had to say Paez shoes is a knockoff of their brand. Donít believe them.

Let me help you understand why they had to lie.

1.) Toms founder got the idea when he visited Argentina. Blake (founder) did not invent shoes.

2.) Their prices are unbelievably high when in fact their shoes are just made in China.

3.) Their local distributor doesnít have the same business model as Toms USA. Their employees might not even be able to buy their own pair of Toms.

Paez Shoes is handmade in Argentina. The California office theyíre talking about is the US distributor which only started sometime last year or this year.

I personally think it is rather unfair that they distort information for business purposes. Somehow, this only shows what kind of people are behind the brand.

i'm confused. did you just give all the information above so people will realize that toms is all for the money and so, people will choose paez instead?

Maybe this is the reason why the Facebook page of TOMS Philippines is already deleted.
