    Smile Goethe Institut Manila

Anyone here learning Deutsch at Goethe Institut? How do you find learning German there?

I used to be a student here, and is planning to go back, as soon as my level is offered at a time most convenient for me.

Maybe this could also be the best place for us students to practice a little what we've learned inside the classrooms, and those already fluent to help us further...

    Guten abend sweeter_ion! )

I too studied German many years ago. But lack of time and money prevented me from getting past German 1. I remember our classes were held at the Alliance Francaise office in Makati.

    Wie gehts?

Guten Abend Ashlars! Danke, sehr gut, und Dir?

I finished level 1, and took the SD1, but I was not able to continue to level 2 because of work overload and unfitting schedule... I really want to finish the course till level C, but their schedules are somewhat not friendly for me... Goethe Institut is now located at Adamson Center at Makati (near Citibank).

    Sehr gut.

Hopefully I can go back and study German again, or perhaps another language. But I've got to finish my master's degree first.

honestly, mas magagaling ang mga nasa Saturdays/ MWF classes compared to super intensive, as per my former instructor's information... baka mabagalan ka sa A1.2 pag nag-intensive ka... sa A1.1, mabagal talaga, it'll be more enjoyable sa succeeding levels... or yeah, better to try it as well... and yes, work is one big factor to continue with this course, that is the same reason why i'm now left behind by my classmates... edge ko na lang nakakausap ko paminsan minsan bf ko using this language, but very minimal din naman...

und ist es Deutschkurs, nicht Deutschkurz...

Just correcting. German is my mother tongue.

Started Super Intensive A1.1 last July, start na kami ng A1.3 tomorrow, will finish on August 20. Then August 25 Intensive A2.1 na, up to A2.3 sa Dezember. Then hopefully tuloy tuloy na kaso marami atang cancellations kapag mataas na level kasi kunti na lang enrollees. Too bad walang Superintensive for A2 up. Pero I am enjoying it. German sounds really nice. Suddenly I find Spanish too "malutong" for my tongue, hehehe.

Hallo Tilman! Willkommen beim Goethe Thread! und danke schoen fuer deine Korrektur. Wir koennen von Dir viele lernen!

@ihcahieh the august 25 intensive for 2.1 is on what schedule? Morning or afternoon? I am planning to re-enroll again sana, but I am looking for MWF morning sched. Mahirap talaga sa higher level, laging may mga cancelled classes, mahal naman to proceed, kasi babayadan mo ata remaining seats, minimum kasi di ba is 10?

Social climbers. Why study the german language? They're the most racist nation on earth! Kawawa ang mga pinoy sa germany.

Denglish (Deutsch-English) daw yun, hindi Gerlish... You should have skipped 1.1 and go directly to 1.2, kasi 1.1 mostly pronounciation, telling numbers, Vorstellen, na pwede naman na in passing lang sa 1.2. Kaso now that you've started 1.1, mahihiirapan ka na sa admin ng Goethe na mag-skip ng 1.2, unless you'll take the placement exam before enrolling. Pero lahat ng basic essentials asa 1.2 eh, 1.3 ko nga 4 times ko lang inattendan, other meetings di ko na pinasukan, kasi more on letter writing na lang and practice for SD1 exam. So far I excelled my SD1 exam and I got the shirt... ;-) I owe my SD1 score from A1.2...

Nachmittag e, von 1 bis 4.15, monatlich na ang A2 levels, es gibt keinen superintensivkurs für A2. Montags, Mittwochs und Freitags.

Nakakaaliw lang kasi when I watch Deutschewelle marami rami na akong nade decode. Mabilis ang progress. Hindi gaya sa Français na ilang taon ko na sine self study pero par nag TV5 Monde ako hirap pa rin.
