anyone played this? wala pala campaign kakainis, mas maganda daw galactic civilizations 2?

You should get SoaSE's two other micro expansions, Entrenchment and Diplomacy just to enrich the gameplay.

SoaSE and GalCiv are two great games by Stardock. It's a shame that only a few play them.

I've played both and I prefer the SoaSE because it's more action oriented. GalCiv is a bit overwhelming as it is really more about empire management than fleet combat. You'll spend most of your time managing colonies, doing diplomacy and designing your ships rather than fighting (which is just auto-resolved). It becomes rewarding the longer you play.

On the other hand, SoaSE is a 4x game in real time. So you'll have to manage all aspects of the game (exploration, expansion, exploitation and combat) on the fly. It's steep on the learning side but the fairly serviceable UI and strategic zoom helps with the gameplay. Fleet battles, especially the large ones, are long drawn out affairs, lasting several minutes, so movement and tactics really come into play.

    thanks soldier
i actually have jade empire for about 3 years now, just cant get around to playing it, hangga dun pa lang ako sa bandits. just need to find the right kong-fu para motivated

i actually have the trinity version so i have the the 2 expansions, i love the star-bases, the diplomacy path i still find useless, mayber later

im beginning to like this game more and more
the fleet battles! oh god the fleet battles!!
probably the best thing i've seen in a strategy game!
im seeing a lot of potential in this. stardock has a gem here

    as for galactic civilzations 2,
after seeing thousands of capital ships, frigates, cruisers, strikecraft, defense platforms duke it out in sins!!,
turn off ako sa auto-resolve battles right now
