^I am not in favor ng TNT din although marami akong kilala. Most of them nag aalaga ng matanda & live in. Kawawa din sila since most of them are the bread winner sa pinas.

Ang kinaiinis ko lang is how they portrait their way of life here back home.

Questions asked by the officer upon port of entry when went to the US last 2008:

Whats your purpose here in the US?
-tour Cali.(San Diego, San Francisco, Buena Park, Orange
    County) Nevada and Arizona

Where do you intend to stay?
-on my relatives living in Buena Park and Orange County

How long do you intend to stay in the US?
    -3 weeks only.

Why do you wish to intend that long?
    - enough to see the 3 states and my relatives. have to go back for my OJT

How will you maintain yourself while in the US?
    - have a few money on my pocket and some credit cards.

    Then Approved!

    Purpose of your visit.
    How long is the visit.
How much money do I have.

    Basta be smart and confident.

do not bring CV's or TOR..pa fedex ninyo sa target residence all original documents so that if customs officers intercept you, less worries. Its hard to justify those things if your intent is purely vacation. Despite economic slowdown, there are still bright spots in American job market. So do not afraid to chase your dreams. Not all successful people there are legal aliens. I say the opposite. Go to the US on every chance possible. And see you options once you're there. Let the Consul officers do their job in denying 3/4 of total Filipino applicants. However, let the lucky few chase their dreams. Thats the essence of America.

    What is your purpose?
Do you have a return ticket?

Usually mabilis lang, less than 10mins with the index finger etc.

and that's also the essence of a criminal. Shooting their dreams the easiest possible way, without care for laws or morals.

^ I beg to disagree about the "criminal" thing
Since when an ordinary illegal aliens are branded as criminals in the US legal system? NEVER! and not yet..
Best cities to go are NY, and most CA cities. They are friendly to illegals. In NY alone, you have the right to not to show to Law Enforcers your documents. They can't prosecute or jail you for that. Imagine having all the time in your hand, basking under NY's glamour and glitz without worrying being TNT is surreal.

Watching too much Sex and the City and television?

NY Glamour and glitz is true if you live in the upper east side and the Hamptons. Other than that, let the truth be told that NY, like any other city is a place where you can expect even your soul be grounded to earn some greenbacks. A few trip to some bars should not be counted as glitz, even. As even Sinatra would admit "if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere."

Furthermore, the fact that CA and NY are called safe haven states does not guarantee anything. Consider that the DHS conducts investigation, primarily requiring companies to submit, under the pain of penalty, certifications that all their employees are authorized to work here in the US. This only means that while the police can't just stop you and ask for your papers, you still will not be able to find a good paying white collar job.

While I do not approve of undocumented aliens because they violate the law, I still extend them my assistance and I am willing to use the full extent of the law to protect whatever rights they may have.

So it is foolish to give advice to anyone that they can come to America and just see what happens after that.

not yet? So you will abuse their system till their patience ran out?
And who will pay for the stringent laws that they will surely be imposing in the future? A grandmother denied to see her grandkids in SF for Christmas? An ordinary policeman who can't come to his brother's wake in Chicago?

I've seen how TNTs languish in NY, doing several odd jobs then go home making their folks think their lives are as glitzy as you imagined. I've seen the temptation but my desire NOT to break any law wins out.

    ----

Anyway, to stay on topic. POE questions for me are the following:
    Where are you staying?
    How long?
    Do you have travelling companions?

I don't like the way he asked those questions so I kept my face straight. I don't like people staring me down or intentionally making me wait just because i share color or nationality with most illegals. Be confident. If you'e not going to break any law, why worry?

Got another Fil-Am immigration officer at LAX. Apart from the usual questions that were mentioned in this thread, I was also asked for data verification:

    IO: Full name?
    Me: XX
    IO: Birthday?
    Me: XX February 19XX.
    IO: Oh. Aquarian?

    Common questions ng IO
    1. What is the purpose of your visit? visit relatives
    2. How long do you plan to stay? 1month
    3. Why this time of the year? I love the cool weather this time of the yr

yan lang lagi tanong sakin. . yan lang din lage sagot ko

as for ATM i have one with wamu now chase, i find it convenient ksi sa experience ko andami nasasayang na pera pag sinusuklian ka ng mga peny, dime etc before you know it tambak na at dimo na magamit kasi hassle mabigat sa wallet matagal pa magbilang

as for DMV I also have one renew lang kada balik, an officer asked me sa checkpoint when we went close to the border of mexico, sabi nya why do you have license, sagot ko so I can drive haha sabi nya ok... wala naman ako problems na encounter arising from having those two.

as for TNT's I know its illegal and mahirap i justify ng logic why some people have to do it, but Im not going to pass my judgement on them because Im not in their shoes, diko alam pinagdadaanan nila para husgahan ko sila. Ingat *** po tayo right coz we dont know what future has to offer magising nlang tayo we are doing same thing na kinaiinisan natin coz our backs are against the wall at life and death na ang nakasalalay.. wag naman sana

just my two cents.. sana gumanda na bansa natin para hindi na kelangan pang mag abroad

Hi there, ano kaya possible questions ang pwedeng itanong sa akin sa POE this time? I went to the US last year (April-October 2009) and visited 6 states. Hindi naman ako nag work or whatsoever.. Bakasyon lang talaga.. kaso kasi nakakakaba pa rin and for sure mag tataka mga IO why i stayed for 6 months dba? E this coming December 15 aalis ako ulit papuntang chicago and balak ko ulit mag stay for another 6 months. Wala rin naman akong work e and of course bakasyon lang din ako this time. Im a person with disability pala kaya di ako makapag work.

Ano kaya ang magandang isagot kung itanong sa akin how long do you plan to stay? kailangna ko ba sabihin na 6 months agad? or sabihin ko 1 month lang? Hehe.

    TIA

It's up to you if you want 1, 3 or 6 months. Sabi nila honesty is the best policy.

Pero tip ko lang sa iyo if you answer 6 months, be prepared to be asked:

Why do you want to stay for 6 months?

Heck, baka nga if you answer 1 month lang you'll be asked why also.

So just be prepared for that question, para swabe ang sagot mo.
