For those who have taken the Air Asia Skybus from the LCCT, madadaanan ba yung Bukit Bintang going to KL Sentral or sobrang out of the way sya? Para sana palipas lang ng oras or tulog sa Rainforest BnB.

Will be arriving kase in KL on Nov 17 (00:35) via 5J and I won't be checking in sa My Hotel @ Sentral until 2 PM. The reason I chose this hotel because of its proximity to KL Sentral. I'm taking an early morning flight on Nov 19 (7 AM) to Siem Reap - I intend to take the Skybus shuttle too going back to LCCT.

if you have the budget, better take Star Shuttle bus from LCCT, direct to Hotel at RM18.00.

if you are going to take Skybus from LCCT, and your hotel for the night is in Bukit Bintang, you will have to take a taxi which costs you extra midnight surcharge (plus all the hassle of embarking/ disembarking from one transpo to another). i think monorail is only up to 12 midnight. if 5J arrives at 00:35, with delay or not, you can not reach to the monorail since it takes you about an hour from LCCT to city centre.

Yes safe na safe! there's a lot of money changer there, almost every corner.. but i always changed my peso to ringgit the one in front of starbucks, so i have my first starbucks drink right away.

Peso is acceptable, and has good exchange rate too.

yeah, sa Replica Inn me sa BB, nag-stay, and 108RM sya per night. may bed bugs ang bed nila pramis!grabe talaga. maganda lang talaga dahil medyo malaki na din ang room and maganda view from the window(petronas and KL tower lang naman). ganda din ng location ng Replica,ilang steps lang, nasa BB plaza, sungei wang ka na. very walking distance din to monorail stn ng BB, and to Pavilion and Lot10. think of Trinoma and ang replica inn, nasa sm north, hehe, ganyan kalapit, baka nga mas malayo pa ang sm north na distance.

Thanks for suggesting Star Shuttle Sana before 2am cleared na ko sa immigration para makahabol sa last trip ng Star Shuttle to KL downtown. BTW, Rainforest is not in their list of drop-off points. Which hotel would be closest to this place and is within walking distance?

Any feedback on Skybar experience? Gusto ko sana subukan ang Skybar to watch the light display of petronas twin tower and sunset. Any reply will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

hello! suggestion naman po,nag-iisip kasi ako kung saan ako bibili ng advance Go Genting package ticket. Punta po kami ng Genting on Sept11 and plan ko nang bumili ng Go Genting tickets on Sept10 in the morning. ngayon,nag-iisip ako kung saan mas malaki ang probability na may tickets pa for Sept11, sa KL Sentral or sa Gombak? Tapat nya lang yung Sungei Wang, walking distance na yung Lot 10, Berjaya Times Square and Pavilion. Petronas tower, pwede ka na ring lakarin or pwede kang magtaxi, siguro less than 10 Ringgit lang pag metered. Marami na ring metered taxi sa KL, the last time I went there.

Ang sure na alam ko lang taxi, pero I think meron pa rin namang bus going to KL Sentral. If you will be taking taxi, you need to get a coupon, it will cost you 110+ Ringgit.

For those who are considering Rainforest Bed and Breakfast here are some pictures from our stay. I highly recommend this place :-)


Entrance


Triple room for 144RM/night. Small room but soft sheets and a nice ang big bathroom


Quad room for 180RM/night. Huge room with a big bathroom and small 'kitchenette' with cupboards and a water heater.

There is wifi but medyo mahirap kumuha ng signal on the top floors. There are computers on the ground floor sa common area but they close this at midnight. We were given iced tea as a welcome drink upon check-in. Small but much appreciated gesture. I hope this helps for those considering Rainforest. Its a 5-10min walk to Jalan Alor and BB Plaza etc.
