Manchester City will take a £50million hit on five players as they prepare for a January clear out of their expensive flops.
According to the Sun, the world's richest club will are willing to let Emmanuel Adebayor, Wayne Bridge, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Roque Santa Cruz and Jo leave for cut price deals.
The Sun figures that Adebayor, who cost £25million from Arsenal, will be available for £12million while Santa Cruz, bought for £18million from Blackburn, will be transfer listed at just £4million.
Chelsea rejects Wright-Phillips and Bridge, who combined cost City over £20million, can both go for around £5million each. Jo, the Brazilian striker who was bought for £17million, will also command a similarly small fee.
In a bid to smooth over any transfer dealings, City will allegedly compensate the highly-paid players if they move.

Don't know if it's true... It will be like reunion for Kaka and Carlo. But in my opinion, we need a defender, get rid of Ferriera... crap Right Back!
Kaka bound for Chelsea
Forget Inter Milan - Chelsea is the likely destination for Real Madrid midfielder Kaka, according to the player's agent.
The Brazilian has been vehemently linked with a move out of the Santiago Bernabeu, possibly to Inter where fellow countryman Leonardo is the new man in charge.
However, his agent Ernesto Bronzetti has thrown Chelsea into the hat by insisting his client has a '90%' chance of heading to Stamford Bridge during the summer.
"I am the only Italian to know [Real Madrid president] Florentino Perez very well," said Bronzetti, according to the Daily Mail.
"We are bound by a ten-year friendship. I talked with him a few days ago.
"Florentino is a bit stubborn and he would not accept losing a bet [on Kaka], it's the same for Maicon and [Diego] Milito, who will not go to Madrid.
"[Inter] have a ruthless competitor called Chelsea. If he were to leave in June, he has a 90 per cent chance of going to Chelsea and not Inter."
Kaka joined Madrid in 2009 and has played 33 games for the Galaticos, scoring nine goals.

The Kaka-Chelsea news is not so new. It has been going on since Mourinho took over R.Madrid. There has also been rumours of an Kaka-Ashley Cole trade since the latter had troubles and scandals with Chelsea.
The question is, is Kaka still worth 50m Euros that Mr. Florentino Perez is asking? Kaka is still recovering from a surgery and has yet to play this season. His post-surgery performance remains to be seen...
Indeed!
I'm fine with a Kaka for A.Cole swap, Real needs a left-back and Ozil has kind of made Kaka dispensable, Chelsea could sure use a player like Kaka, question is, how much more can Kaka offer?

Besiktas too, snapping Hugo Almeida from Bremen, and Simao from AMadrid, they're really taking shopping seriously
I don't agree getting rid of Ashley Cole... I don't like his personal life but we need him at the back he's in great form by the way... if Kaka won't come to Stamford Bridge, just get rid of Ramires and Ferriera both are not doing well in the pitch and hire more Defenders
alright the window is now open, business is about to pick up
