club football season is right around the corner, for now, the action is still in the transfer window, completed transfers, rumors, who's moving?

I'll start with the transfer saga of one of the hottest commodities after the World Cup

    Poor Henry.

    http://www.football365.com/mediawatc...3,8749,00.html

We've all started jobs, or moved somewhere, and immediately thought 'Oh crap, what have I done?'

That look was plastered all over Thierry Henry's face the other day, in the middle of his first round of interviews after signing for the New York Red Bulls.

Henry was on the Fox 5 couch being grilled about his move by a couple of those ludicrously shiny presenters that are only found on American morning TV shows.

Things didn't start well when Shiny Man announced the arrival of 'Tiarry Henry', and rapidly went downhill when Shiny Woman kicked the interview off with "So you just won the World Cup, right?"

What dignity remained disappeared about a minute in when, of all the clips of magnificent skill and athleticism they could've chosen to illustrate Henry's glorious and trophy-laden career, Fox picked that Billy Gallas goal against Ireland. And showed it three times.

The Shiny People went on to ask if racism in Europe was the main reason he'd come to America, presumably because such prejudice has been completely eradicated in the US, and mock Thierry when asked to think of the "big scores" and largest "blowouts" in soccerkickball.

Lord love him, Thierry remained calm and answered politely, but maintained the look of slowly dawning horror.
I don't even want to look for the interview on youtube.

nakaka frustrate when football veterans like sila ljungberg ... kahit medyo nasa twilight of their careers na ehh medyo di nabibigyan ng recognition (besides the money) and appreciation by fans of their true talents sa u.s. ...

    i feel you guys

    http://www.majorleaguesoccertalk.com...view-ever/9890

^ watch the video if you wanna have a headache

New York TV sta*tion, Fox 5, recently con*ducted a one-on-one inter*view with Thierry Henry, and it has to be one of the worst soc*cer inter*views you’ll prob*a*bly ever see.

Hosts Rosanna Scotto and Greg Kelly begin the train wreck by telling Henry that he had just won the World Cup. And the inter*view seems to get worse from there with Scotto seem*ingly slow*ing down her words for Henry to under*stand her despite the fact that Henry speaks and under*stands Eng*lish incred*i*bly well.

The hosts of the “Good Day New York” TV show then make even more fools of them*selves by talk*ing about how Amer*i*cans love “big scores” and “blowouts,” while try*ing to make a joke that a 3–0 score*line is a “blowout” in soccer.

Scotto then ad libs and starts talk*ing about the “horns” (i.e. vuvuzelas).

It’s obvi*ous that Scotto and Kelly didn’t do their home*work before inter*view*ing Henry. To have one of the biggest soc*cer stars in the world on your show but then not even give him the cour*tesy of ask*ing intel*li*gent ques*tions is a trav*esty. Yes, the TV show is a morn*ing pro*gram, which is typ*i*cally the bot*tom of the bar*rel when it comes to tele*vi*sion shows. But still, you would have expected Henry to be treated with a lit*tle more dig*nity and respect than this hor*ri*ble interview.

Fair play to Henry for remain*ing calm dur*ing the inter*view and answer*ing the ques*tions with a humil*ity that a lot of other sports stars wouldn’t have been able to carry.

No won*der soc*cer gets a bad rap in Europe espe*cially when you have morons like Scotto and Kelly on the show, or when you have TV news pro*grams that can’t the dif*fer*ence between South Africa and South Amer*ica.

didn't know that Henry became Spanish since he just won the world cup, probably because he played at Bartha lol and lmao don't they have any career footage instead of showing the "handball"

15 seconds in and I can't believe they said "who just wrapped up his career playing soccer" and then racism... 'nuff said

former Everton young gun Dan Gosling has joined "welcome back" Newcastle

Slovak striker Robert Vittek (4 goals in the WC) moved to Ankaragucu in Turkey from Lille
