anyone having problems with PLDT DSL the past few days?

I've been having intermittent connection since Friday or Saturday, then by Sunday I couldn't connect to any site except for Gmail and Philstar. I reported this to 172, the genius CSR who answered told me "if you cannot connect, most likely there's a problem" No sh+t, Sherlock. And after Basyang, when the electricity and landline were fixed, surprisingly the DSL started working as well, but this time it's selective browsing, sites like Twitter and even PEX isn't working well.

I'm curious, when you click on the connection icon, under Activity, there are packets sent and received. When my connection was working fine, it's usually around 350-450K, but now it's 144K for sent and 180K for received. What's the ideal number here?

Yeah but this started way before Basyang. PLDT CS is no help at all.

some sites load normally, and some won't even load at all.
this isn't something new. sounds like PLDT's dns (or dhcp maybe) servers are having problems again.

they should just reboot them and hopefully everything will be ok again.

*SIGH* I just finished what seems to be a part of my daily chores, and that is to nag PLDT CS. And of course I was again given the usual line...that it's already been forwarded to technical, they will give me their f-ing feedback in 24-48hrs. Oh d@mn it. If I wasn't going back to the US in January, I would go and look for another provider ASAP, but I think all of them are in varying degrees of lousy anyway, so might as well just put up with PLDT.

I also have a prob with my landline, no incoming calls since yesterday (OH PLDT!) and I included that in my call today and the CSR asked me if I already checked my ringer level. WTF. Is asking stupid questions part of the training of these people?

me router ka bang ginagamit o directly na nakaconnect ang pc sa modem?

medyo matino ang connection ngayon. last few days medyo me problema ata sa server nila. nadidisconnect ng ilang beses sa isang oras ang YM ko after basyang. pero ngayon, isang oras na hindi pa nadidisconnect ang ym ko.

None. Directly naka connect.

sa akin wala naman problema minsan nawawala lang pero pag rinestart ko modem okay na. problem ko lang talaga di ko ma-access megapr0n.
