nasa I.T. field ako, so medyo mas madami akong nakikitang job ads than usual, ang pangalan ng agency is Thatz International, member ako ng Wednesday group, haha.

    akari,

hindi ako sure dito, discretion ng government ang approval or rejection ng work permit.syempre may ibang factors like yung quota ng work permit holders nung company na inapplyan mo.

as much as possible mas maganda ang direct hire. iwasan ang agency diyan sa pilipinas at kadalasan e humihingi sila ng placement fee. life is all about gambles, decisions and risks, not just about the approval of your employment permit.

konti lang ang call center dito, mostly in house service desk lang unlike mga BPO sa pinas. dalawang klase ang agency, yung isa, hihingi ng one time bayad sa iyo, then tapos na,on your own ka na.yung isang klase, sila magiging employer mo until the end, sila magpapasweldo sa iyo and sila ang magde-decide kung saan ka nila ide-deploy.i used to belong to the latter, common yan dito sa mga I.T. professionals. naghanap ako ng malilipatan nung nandito na ako.

kapag po ba ang isang tao.. let's say my wife has a permanent resident visa sa singapore, pwede niya ako ilakad as a dependent and work there? question lang naman po.. thank you..

pag ang individual ay isang permanent resident na, ang options lang na available for spouse is either i-apply din niya ito as a PR, or long term visit pass, which doesn't authorize you to work. luckier are those who are on Employment Pass status here since their spouses are eligible for Dependent Pass which in turn entitles the bearer to work as long as a letter of consent has been approved by the Labor Ministry. my wife is a classic example, after we got married here, I applied for her PR status but it was rejected without any given reason, so it left us no choice but for me to get her a Long Term Visit Pass. that pass allows her to stay here continously for a year and it is renewable indefinitely. now if in case she finds a job, she has to cancel her LTVP and go through the process of getting her own Employment Permit (work permit, s-pass, employment pass etc.) pending approval.

SuPeR_MaN thank you ha.. so okay lang din pala yung LTVP kasi continuous yung stay and pwede i-renew each year and then if makahanap man work pwede din naman kumuha ng sariling employment permit..

nag eexpire po ba yang permanent resident na yan? i mean, yung wife ko kasi almost 3 years na since umuwi siya dito sa pinas from singapore.. prior to that.. 4 years siya nag work diyan sa singtel..

walang expiration ang permanent residence, pero ang re-entry permit ang meron, usually 5 years lang ito.

^ Philippine passport holders are given 30 days, but it's at the discretion of the immigration officers at the port of entry if they'll give you a shorter period. You can start doing the things that you're planning to do before coming here, that is to apply online. Just indicate on your cover letters that you'll be here on certain dates, just in case you'll be called up for an interview.

do you apply for tourist visa here in the philippines ba? someone told me kasi yung tourist visa doon na mismo pagdating mo ng singapore ina-applyan.. totoo po ba yun? if yes, what if nandun ka na then i-deny pa?

You do not apply for a tourist visa / Social Visit Pass since the Philippines is a member of the ASEAN. Normally, ASEAN members are allowed to stay for 30 days in Singapore on social visit - meaning, you are not allowed to work while on a Social Visit Pass.

Singapore Immigration Officers CAN refuse entry. It is their discretion whether they allow a foreigner into their country. Singapore Immigration can also lower the number of days you are allowed in Singapore (14 days).

If you are refused entry to Singapore, then there's no other choice but to turn back and board the next available flight to either Manila, Cebu, Clark, or Davao.

LabuyoXVIII.. thank you for responding sir.. my wife has a permanent resident visa sa singapore, would you think po na it'll boost my chance of being allowed to stay there? my wife told me in case na pumunta kami sa singapore at the end of the month, once there, from tourist visa daw she can apply for it to become a dependent visa.. is it really possible? not that i don't believe my wife, it's just that it's been 3 years na since she went back home dito sa pinas and baka iba na yung rule/law about it..

^ like I said, you won't be eligible for a Dependent Pass anymore since your wife is already a PR. It's either she'll apply a PR status for you, or get you a Long Term Social Visit Pass. Does your wife still have a valid Re-entry permit?
