Women Rights Compared: Bible vs Quran {Part 1 of 4}

1. Eve’s fault?
In the Bible: The serpent seduced Eve to eat from it and Eve, in turn, seduced Adam to eat with her. When God rebuked Adam for what he did, he put all the blame on Eve, “The woman you put here with me --she gave me some fruit from the tree and I ate it.” Consequently, God said to Eve: “I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband and he will rule over you.”

1 TIMOTHY 2:13-15 "For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety."

To take the word of God literally, "woman" refers only to Eve. But take note how God used the plural form "THEY" that actually refers to the real believers, both male and female (Galatians 3:28). Again, to take the word of God literally, how simple it is for a woman to be saved by simply giving birth to children. But Eve represents the real Christians who are the spiritual "wife" of God.

Jeremiah 3:14 "Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD (Jesus Christ is the only Lord - 1 Corinthians 8:6b); for I am married unto you...."

"Childbearing", therefore, means the fruitfulness of man, actually the spiritual wife, in union with God Who is the spiritual husband. The spiritual children are the fruit(s) of the Spirit:

GALATIANS 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit (Jesus Christ is that Spirit - 2 Corinthians 3:17) is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance..."

Sa pakikipag-ugnayan (o pagsamba o pananalangin) ng mga PILI sa Panginoon, itinatanim Niya sa kanila ang Kaniyang mga binhi o salita, na ang mga nagiging anak o bunga ay ang mga bunga ng Espiritu. Ito ang sinasabi ng biblia na "sa panganganak sila maliligtas."

Dahil si Jesucristo ang nag-iisang Panginoon (1 Corinto 8:6b), at ang Panginoon ang siyang Espiirtu o Ama (2 Corinto 3:17), maliwanag na dapat ay nakikilala ng tao ang Dios na kanilang sinasamba (o pinananalanginan o pinakikipag-ugnayan). Dahil kung wala ang FAITH (o ang tunay na pagkakilala sa Dios), ang lahat na ginagawa ng tao sa espirituwal ay balewala (o/at hindi siya manganganak).

"If they continue in faith and charity and holiness" - Sila (ang mga PILI o nakakakilalang tunay sa Dios na may kaloob na FAITH) ay maliligtas sa panganganak o pagiging mabunga, subali't may pasubali at ito ay kung sila ay magpapatuloy sa FAITH (o mananatiling matapat sa Panginoong Jesucristo bilang kanilang Dios hanggang wakas), at CHARITY ( o magpapatuloy sa pangangaral ng evangelio para sa ikaliligtas ng mga tao), and HOLINESS (na ang ipinangangaral ay katotohanan at pawang katotohanan lamang). Pagsunod sa UNA at PANGALAWANG UTOS ang tinutumbok dito. Na ang kahulugan naman ay ito:

James 2:20 "But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith (nakikilala man isang ng tao ang Dios, gaya ng mga Pentecostal Oneness) without works (kung siya naman ay hindi gumagawa o nangangaral ng evangelio, ibig sabihin nito ang Espiritu ni Cristo ay hindi sumasa kaniya) is dead (kaya siya ay isa pa ding espirituwal na patay)?"

James 2:26 "For as the body without the spirit (of Jesus Christ - Romans 8:9) is dead, so faith without works is dead also."

[b]Eve in the Quran is no temptress, no seducer, and no deceiver. Moreover, Eve is not to be blamed for the pains of childbearing. God, according to the Quran, punishes no one for another’s faults.
