I am just glad that there are now available used units from Japan, or better known as JDM cars. Even if these are used units and converted to LHD, I would rather go this route than buy a brand new local unit that cost 3 - 4x. Those conversions are already well made, very safe. I would think twice about cut ups though, especially on bathtub style or chassis free body.
Also surplus parts are aplenty in banawe, a fraction of what local car companies charge.

    1. You have to be a registered member of the auction company.such as USS FUKUOKA,TAA, USSkyushu GOLD, JU FUKUOKA , JU NAGASAKI, JU SAGA, KCAA ebino, JU oita, JU miyazaki, JU kagoshima.

    2. You must be a Japanese citizen or holding a permanent residence visa in japan.

    3. you must pay the initial deposit of 100,000 Japanese yen in order to bid a vehicle via online auction.

    4. For non member around the world, they can bid vehicles via online auction and pay the initial deposit.

Your agent or Japanese counter part will work for the export process and shipment of the vehicles from the auction house. All vehicles import to the Philippines will be process by its government standard operation procedure of the three(3) government agencies and one(1) government owned and controlled corporations according to importation of used vehicles.Agencies are BEREAU OF CUSTOM (BOC),LAND TRANSPORTATION OFFICE (LTO),BEREAU OF INTERNAL REVENEU (BIR) and CAGAYAN ECONOMIC ZONE AUTHORITY (CEZA) which is under the office of the president's government owned and controlled corporation (GOCC).

The process will be fair and transparent and that is what's happening now is cagayan port irene. It is only the notify party who will work on the documents, conversion and registration as soon as the vehicles arrive in the port of entry.Brokers and fixers are not allowed to process documents. The LTO office is with in the port,so no reason to travel to manila just to register your vehicles and that is against the importation of vehicles law.

The law said..import vehicle should be registered to the nearest LTO office from the port of entry.Basically, you cannot register your vehicle to Quezon city LTO office if your port of entry is port of MANILA.

B plates are much safer than manila plates or any other plates for japan used vehicles.Pull out vehicles will be accomplish with certificate of payment (COP),secretary certficate,OR/CR,LTO plates with the first letter "B",Ad valorem tax receipt, custom clearance and your GATE PASS from bureau of custom and notify party.

We also accept orders of vehicles from japan and korea. We will import your vehicle's base on client's specification.Your safety is our concern, therefor; We make sure that the conversion works (from right hand drive to left and drive) has been done perfectly.CUT AND WELD are no longer existing in CAGAYAN ECONOMIIC ZONE.we use original left hand drive conversion kits.Quality of conversion has already improve in port irene to encourage potential buyers and the market.

    see you there...........

    Hi Eric,

I would like to view your list of imported vehicles, please add me up on your facebook. As you may know, i did import a car (rx8) and a bike (r1) from Seattle, that's from DTI program for OFW, port of entry was Manila. It's a total pain in the a** dealing with custom officials in Manila. I have to do it my self for two weeks even though i have a broker (useless), so i know the drill...

Before the ban of importation of used vehicles in Port Irene, i planned to enter on this business, But after Noynoy was elected, all my contacts was replaced, so i had to do it with the hardway... port of Manila. The Rx8 & R1 was just a trial... even though along the process i made some friends, still... i stand no chance in port of Manila... masyadong maliit kikitain... one of the inspector told me... "you have to try port Irene, iba ang mga Diyos dun!" - that's before they lift the ban.

Now... based on quoted post above, it seems that you are expert in Port Irene, your facebook says you are based in Quezon City... I won't ask what you do for living, after all... its about contacts and connection... Here's a quick overview of the process and fee.

    1. I go to "actual" action house in the states ( i made friends with the company that can do this ).
    2. Get the vehicles.
    3. Load it to a container (20" cost around $2000 & 40" is around $3000, that's all in). 20" fits 2 vehicles & 40" fits 4.
    4. HARD PART: CUSTOMS IN RP.
    5. LTO

    Question:
    >alternative way of # 3,4 & 5? (definitely you have a better way for 4 & 5).

please do reply in facebook (you can see my Rx8 & R1 on one of the albums in my facebook), i hope we can do businesses together... Investors & customers are welcome!

PS: pictures taken from the containers...
those vehicles will go to Cambodia, those cars are for parts only... But look at the blue BMW, it is freaking freshhhh..just a f**king bump on the fenders. ( @ the back is my RX8, it was Nordic green before)

I have a friend who had a y plate car inimpound ng HPG kahit malinis papeles. talagang pinag diskitahan siya dahil Y plate ang oto niya and 1 month na impound. B plates are more safer dahil ang dami narin na release na units and i heard na maganda din conversion.(Idk if it's true)

50k milyahe nung bb.

nung nasa US ako sikat na sikat yung counterpart nyang scion. fun car kasi.
