there is a world of difference between "cannot" and "does not want"
you did not understand it, do you? kaya nga sinabi kong it is not good if the one doing the survey and the one being surveyed are of the same entity. imagine this: "we are the best company in the world as shown by a survey done by us." does this sound credible?
walang masama sa pag-observe sa ibang tao. I am not meddling in their personal affairs or invading their privacy. You can know if someone is using his/her phone without having to be at an intimate distance with the person.
I do have a cellphone, a laptop (for general reading), a PC (for applications that require intense processor use) and an mp3 player.
It is not as if I do not have a choice. And during that time, I chose to observe other people rather than dwell on devices that I regularly use. Its boring to do the same old thing again and again. Just some deviation from regular behavior.
As for your post, you seem like someone who thinks that his/her identity can be derived from gadgets. Poor you. At mukhang excited na excited ka na magka-gadget to the extent that you will mock others. Poor you. As for me, during the times kakabili ko lang ng gadget/electronic device, I only think "ok, may magagamit na ako". My life does not revolve on those things. "I am human and I am bigger than those devices." (note: figurative iyong naka-quote, don't take it literally). Poor you.

LIKEWISE. you are still trying to outsmart me but of course, you always FAIL
abs cbn does not want to BECAUSE abs cbn CANNOT afford the latest innovation, as simple as thatthere is a world of difference between "cannot" and "does not want"
entity is the one making the survey.you did not understand it, do you? kaya nga sinabi kong it is not good if the one doing the survey and the one being surveyed are of the same entity.
the one being surveyed relates to tv programs. involved in surveys are the viewers/population
you have to be ASSERTIVE. if it is true, why hide it.imagine this: "we are the best company in the world as shown by a survey done by us." does this sound credible?
there is nothing wrong is saying the truth.
to generalize that nobody is watching is to make sure that within the duration of the program, everyone is doing something else instead of watching the teliewalang masama sa pag-observe sa ibang tao. I am not meddling in their personal affairs or invading their privacy. You can know if someone is using his/her phone without having to be at an intimate distance with the person.
otherwise, it is a FALSE generalization.
how RUDe of you to observe other people.I do have a cellphone, a laptop (for general reading), a PC (for applications that require intense processor use) and an mp3 player. It is not as if I do not have a choice. And during that time, I chose to observe other people rather than dwell on devices that I regularly use. Its boring to do the same old thing again and again. Just some deviation from regular behavior.
no, but able to afford to buy gadgets is an indication of one's purchasing power. As for your post, you seem like someone who thinks that his/her identity can be derived from gadgets.
poor me, so what?Poor you. Poor you.
but you are the POOREST of all
look at your post, everyting centers on YOU hohohohohohho, i HAVE this, I can buy this, etc etc etc
how pathetic
whereas me, i am so humble, i don't brag about what i have and what i can have other than beauty, wisdow, wealth, money, charm, generosity, being charitable, very logical, sensible, etc etc etc
CAN'T AFFORD the new innovation the LATEST in surveys!!!!!
gma7 can AFFORD to venture sa isang partnership regarding LATEST INNOVATION for a more sensible reporting on tv ratings.
how come abs cbn CAN'T afford such.
Philippines goes Live!
30/4/2010 - Philippines
The Philippines has launched Mega Manila LiveRatings in a partnership with local broadcaster, GMA 7. Mega Manila LiveRatings builds on the latest innovations of the Philippine Mega Manila TAM service following the successful rollout of TVM5 meters with a permanent GPRS connection to an initial 480 homes in its Metro Manila section. Another 320 homes are being rolled out to complete the Suburbs section of the Mega Manila panel.
GMA 7 is embarking on a full-scale test of the service. At the recent launch, the network’s top executives, including those in charge of News and Public Affairs Programming, Entertainment Programming, Research, as well as Marketing were granted exclusive access to Mega Manila LiveRatings. Marissa Flores, GMA Senior VP for News and Public Affairs enthused, ‘This takes ratings monitoring to a new level that could result in faster reaction time’.
The Philippines aims for complete provision of Mega Manila LiveRatings to GMA 7 after the trial period.

PURDOY!!!!![]()

Tungaw Bobomaster!
haha. coming from someone na palaging questionable ang claims. lolz
you said "I do not want to wait." what's with the personal attachment to tv ratings? is your livelihood dependent on ratings?
mali pa rin. Think of this:"People can put rotten food into their digestive system but they won't or does not want to because of obvious reasons.
products/services of a company is the embodiment or representation of that company. confidence on a product is confidence for the company.
for the second one, nagkamali siguro ako ng gamit na word but what I meant was the entity who prepares the survey and gather the survey data.
indeed. but the topic here, is supporting your claim based on credible and reliable data. This knowledge is very basic. Kahit sa medical certificate lang, you cannot present a med cert for whatever purpose if the one who did the certification is your own parent or worse, done by you.
wala akong sinabing "nobody".... don't hallucinate
but it is not an indication of someone's intelligence or his dignity as an individual.
thank you for acknowledging that.
ah, talaga lang.
Labo mo talaga. Kanina nilalait mo ako for allegedely not having this and that, tapos nang sabihin kong meron naman ako ng this and that (though wala akong iPad), nagagalit ka dyan. Good grief!
and yet you mock others by giving them derogatory names, that's NOT HUMILITY.
I can't say about beauty and money but for the rest, you seem to have a great dearth of them.![]()
phishing!you said "[I]I[/xI] do not want to wait." what's with the personal attachment to tv ratings? is your livelihood dependent on ratings?
no, it is you, you are WRONg again for the nth time.mali pa rin. Think of this:"People can put rotten food into their digestive system but they won't or does not want to because of obvious reasons.
abs cbn already challenged agb ratings. court had already decided. abs cbn lost
abs cbn does not want to BECAUSE abs cbn CANNOT afford the latest innovation, as simple as that
noted. that is, i noted that you committed a MISTAKE.products/services of a company is the embodiment or representation of that company. confidence on a product is confidence for the company.for the second one, nagkamali siguro ako ng gamit na word but what I meant was the entity who prepares the survey and gather the survey data.
there is AUDIT certification. you can file your complaint to the proper authority.indeed. but the topic here, is supporting your claim based on credible and reliable data. This knowledge is very basic. Kahit sa medical certificate lang, you cannot present a med cert for whatever purpose if the one who did the certification is your own parent or worse, done by you.
the court have already decided in favour of agb. abs cbn lost.
data is still credible and reliable.
okay, getting technical here ehwala akong sinabing "nobody".... don't hallucinate
you wrote "hindi nakatingin sa tv karamihan ng pasahero. either tulog or nakatingin sa labas or nagttext. "
questions: how many passengers? how many are texting? how long have you been in the bus for? how can you be so sure that the karamihan never watch the tv at any single time during the trip? what is your scientific approach to generalize that karamihan hindi nakatingin sa tv? (there'll be more follow up questions when applicable on my side)
still it is RUDe to do so.get real. ginagawa talaga ng tao iyan. hindi naman siya ginagawa na sobrang intently...
you keep adding words to what i wrote. did i wrote dignity or intelligence. i simply wrote purchasing powerbut it is not an indication of someone's intelligence or his dignity as an individual.
are you thankful to find out that people are poorer than you, how vainthank you for acknowledging that.
again, you are overreacting, did i write something to indicate that i am angry at youah, talaga lang.Labo mo talaga. Kanina nilalait mo ako for allegedely not having this and that, tapos nang sabihin kong meron naman ako ng this and that (though wala akong iPad), nagagalit ka dyan. Good grief!
an eye for an eye.and yet you mock others by giving them derogatory names, that's NOT HUMILITY.
people treat me that way because people expect me to treat them taht way.
i am not asking your opinion. and i don't care about your opinion on me.I can't say about beauty and money but for the rest, you seem to have a great dearth of them. *pexace*![]()
wow, how touching naman ang concern para kay corona (takenote hearthrob, si James Richard ang mahilig magbigay ng insulting names sa kapwa pexer, so RUDE huh)
on the contrary, it seems to me that i am the one making sense between us 3 (me, heart and james)
gma7 can afford access to the latest innovation in survey reporting.
abs cbn FAILED to gain access.
you can offer excuses but still, the FACT remains the same
currently, only gma7 can afford access to the latest innovation in survey reporting.
abs cbn FAILED to gain access.
too bad you are wrong on me being wrong. Ang clear clear naman ng example ko sa difference ng "can" (or cannot) sa "will" (or does not want or does want)Originally Posted by heartthrob_god
it was junked because of "premature filing", right? The court did not decide on the agb data being tampered or not.
nevertheless, contempt/libel charge against ABS-CBN re: AGB issue was also junked...
you can't substantiate that ABS does not have the resources to avail itself of AGB's services. again, balikan na lang natin ang difference ng "cannot" at "will not" (or "does not want")
which is essentially an entity scrutinizing the claims of another entity. claims made by a firm are empty without an independent firm verifying it.
because you are trying to make the wrong inference on my statement. unlike you, I avoid making far-reaching generalizations.
the times will be while I was in the bus. as for the times that I am not in the bus, I do not know. on those circumstances that I was in a bus and there was a GMA7 show airing, it was very clear that only a few are watching the TV, (if you enter the bus from the door near the driver, you can definitely see everyone). and you can't expect me to actually count the heads staring at the TV - hindi ako weird para gawin 'yun. But then again, usually nabibilang lang ng kamay nakikitang kong nanonood so let's say 10 people (maximum for you). If there are 15 rows of seats and 5 columns of seats (isang side dalawahan, isang side tatluhan) <i think more or less ganito siya> tapos five people kasya sa last na upuan (iyong mahabang upuan sa likod), then 80 people can fit in the bus. If the bus was half-filled, then 40 people. 10 vs 40? majority not watching the TV. As I walk into the bus front the front side up to near the back, I noticed the behavior of the people inside - some are texting, some are sleeping, some are talking to his/her companions, some are just staring in the "window". more or less the "bus passengers demographics" remained constant throughout the trip (30 mins to 1hour lang naman 'yung mga bus rides ko na may TV tapos Channel7 palabas)
anyways, that's for you. I do it discreetly.
because on your post before that, you are a blabbering on a derogatory name because you think someone has no purchasing power. purchasing power does not make someone human or the lack of it makes someone less of a human. mind you.
Poor you.
so you were trying to be funny? oh well, ok.
well, hindi pa rin siya humility. Saying you are humble makes you not humble.
on your second statement, hmmmm as for the two of us, I am not the one who started calling you names (well, it was you who started) and I do not call you by derogatory names.
and please spare me the horror of seeing your posts about your self-proclaimed goodness and kindness.![]()
Hal. "natanggap": "tanggap" - simple tense pag naglagay ka ng "na" sa simula magiging past tense. dun sa "nareceived", "received" means "natanggap" so pag ginamit iyong "nareceived" parang ang ibig sabihin niya ay "na-natanggap". gets? dapat kasi "na-receive" lang. so for "ni-raised" dapat "ni-raise". Sorry lang, OC kasi ako when it comes to this thing.
ok. no question here.
It's more of they chose not to. Besides, hindi pa naman resolved ang issue, the court junked the complaint because of a technicality, the pieces of evidence has not been well scrutinized yet. it's sort of, naiwasan ng AGB na magkaroon ng full-blown hearing with regards to the evidence of error in the surveying system. Wala rin namang nangyari sa contempt charge ng AGB sa ABS, so the matter of ABS vs AGB is still inconclusive.

RATED X: What’s People's Rating?
by: Edgar O. Cruz | STIR Editor in Chief
10 Jun 2010 | 10:03 AM
AGB Nielsen has not been releasing rating reports since May 2010. In its place, what has been coming out from Kapuso-connected sources in what is called as the People Rating, invariably called as AGB Mega Manila People Rating.
Although based on the overnight ratings of AGB among Mega Manila households, GORGY RULA of Abante Tonight who regularly releases it states in an SMS to STIR: “Mega Manila po yan. Pero People po yan. Iba yung AGB” (read: People Rating covers Mega Manila households. It is different from AGB Nielsen Rating).
The reason for the shift to People Rating has not been explained. How these figures were arrived at is not clear. It seems, however, to have narrowed down the rating difference between GMA-7 and ABS-CBN, which tends to show the fight is close. In the AGB report, the difference would have been big, tending to favor GMA7.
There you have it. STIR welcomes information about People Rating.
