    Sabre Airlines Solutions

    Hi guys, one of my friends who doesn't have a PEX account yet asked me to post this topic here so she could get some information about the company. She is a Software Dev and is scheduled for an interview next week. Hope you can give information regarding the company, just like the other threads discuss about other companies. Thanks!

    It's a no contest, in terms of Cutting-Edge Technologies, I believe Sabre "owns" Navitaire.

    But I think Navitaire supports/develops bigger projects from multi-billion dollar airlines.

    Story Driven Development <==> SCRUM

    I'm not particularly sure

    I had a friend who use to work at EB2. He was hired via headhunter Viventis Asia.

    Perhaps someone could clarify if you can now directly apply to this company.

    Cheers

    I got an offer from this company way back in 2008 through Viventis Search. Viventis just merely processed my application but the job offer was from EB2 itself as a non-contractual employee.

    But during the wee season of IT (economic crisis) they had a bunch of contractors from different agencies including RCGIT.

    Lately I have heard from a friend of mine who works in Sabre as a PM said that they're now doing direct hires. Dont know the email of the contact person though, maybe next time tanong ko.

    http://www.jobstreet.com.ph/jobs/201...63095.htm?fr=J
    From jobstreet post:
    "Interested applicants can send their CV in word format (or pdf) to johndavid.lagdamen.ctr@sabre.com Name your CV file as: "yourFirstname yourLastname.doc" (or pdf) In the subject header of your email application, put only the job title"

    according to some friends who came from this company. It is not worth joining the company anymore, it was way different when they were still not bought (the old company name daw is EB2?) anyway (allegedly) too much internal politics, backstabbing and etc.

    but hey, if you find it interesting then go for it!

    I worked for Sabre as a consultant for a year. I say it's a pretty good company. Very lax environment and people are very professional. I also like the building's ample parking which is very cheap (P45 for 16hrs) compared to Makati.

    If you're a veteran Java developer, you probably won't learn any new technologies here since their stack is pretty much set and you'll just be building on top of it. If you want to learn SCRUM or KANBAN, I think it's a good company to join.

    I found the airline industry and business harder to learn than the technology stack they use.
