In one conference I attended last month, I heard a middle-aged lady reciting Psalms 23 in Cebuano. I can't explain it, but there was a magic in the language that brought passion and strength in her voice.
Bisaya has a poor reputation for being a katulong's language and people who learned the language at childhood tend to have a stiff tongue when speaking in Tagalog or English (which is NOT always the case. Listen to the yellow-vested female reporter in this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdw3OR13Kaw ) Nonetheless, when I listen closely I think it sounds beautiful.
