    Best sounding Filipino language (dialect)

In one conference I attended last month, I heard a middle-aged lady reciting Psalms 23 in Cebuano. I can't explain it, but there was a magic in the language that brought passion and strength in her voice.

Bisaya has a poor reputation for being a katulong's language and people who learned the language at childhood tend to have a stiff tongue when speaking in Tagalog or English (which is NOT always the case. Listen to the yellow-vested female reporter in this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdw3OR13Kaw ) Nonetheless, when I listen closely I think it sounds beautiful.

Cebuano or any Bisaya dialect, hands down. Cebuano is my local French and when I want some lambing, I will only ask my husband to speak to me in that dialect

    Mabuhay ang mga Bisaya!!!

True! Bisaya sounds malambing, specifically Ilonggo. Hehe. How I wish I could have a Visayan-speaking bf. Magkakaintindihan naman kami kahit paano.

I'm an Ilocano. I've heard a lot of philippine dialects and I think Chavacano is really nice to hear. Though behind it's meaning chavacano means "harsh" or "vulgar" so it somehow turns me off since that is how Spaniards would perceive about the language. At some point Tagalog for me is still the best sounding Filipino dialect kung nagamit sa tama.

    1. Of course, my beloved Cebuano (it ain't "Bisaya").
    2. Hiligaynon (or widely known as "Ilonggo"). Sexy sila magsalita, especially when "Ilonggas" do it.
