Hahaha...I've worked for HP for a couple of years hoping that I get to see changes (since I am a very optimistic person), unfortunately I didn't witness any. Apparently, ganon talaga ang culture, something that you can't change in a snap of a finger. I remember my friend's boss once said "hindi natin pwede baguhin yan, kasi yan na ang nakasanayan dito." I am not an agent nor a manager, but I am somewhere in between. I witnessed how agents were "utilized" by their managers and I witnessed how managers did not promote people who don't "follow orders." It's just plain martial law, I'd say. Pero ewan ko sa experience ng iba, (especially those who have mastered the art of kissing a*s), those who didn't have the courage to speak up, baka iba ang take nila sa management ng higer ups
It could be that you passed or that you failed. If you passed, well and good, but as I've mentioned on my post, freeze hiring now plus they have to let go of 30,000 people, therefore, you might need to wait some more (provided na hindi nila namisplace ang datasheet mo or hindi nagpile up ang application and napatungan na yung sa'yo ng iba pang applicants na "waiting" din ang status
ok ba dito? parang gusto ko i-try.. pag gusto ko na uli magseryoso sa trabaho..
i agree kaya ako give up nako..
Well, In all fairness , marami akong kilalang Managers na talagang magaling sa HP. Magaling in terms of People skills like they do one on one coaching amidst of very busy schedule, issues memo when needed to discipline their people , iron out struggling accounts etc , in short these Managers OUTPERFORM. And these managers are not kiss a.. they got promoted because they chose to consistently excel on their given role. Some started as L1 and now they are managers. In addition to that, most of them got their first promotion bago sila mag 1 year sa HP. Well you see, you just need to have the right attitude and skills and definitely, you'll get the position you are eyeing for. I guess, it's always given na Politics and negative people will always be present sa isang company but you should not allow negative surroundings create negative environment for you.It is true that you may speak with your manager regarding all your concerns, but there is no assurance that you will be heard. They will let you vent, but don't expect that they will do something about it. In addition, it is fact that there is no career growth (for some towers/departments). The only way to get to the top is to kiss ***. Most people who kiss *** are the ones normally get promoted. If not, they prioritize those who have been working for the company for a long time (disregarding the skills and performance).
buti na lang i saw this post... i now realize that working in hp is not really easy... lagi ko kasing inaaway boyfriend ko sa sobrang pagkabusy niya sa work... well it shows pala na talagang busy ang mga tao sa hp.... hehehehe.... he's like a team leader in hp, and i know his basic pay... quite high actually. pati *** ibang friends ko na jan nagwowork, may mga car na sila, pero subordinate level pa lang sila.. pero ayun, the higher the company pay, the more stressful the work is. Kaya minsan, wag magpapasilaw sa mataas na sahod...

may cobol mf ba dito?
Some points are valid.
HP's HR process is not really best-in-class and there are a lot of misses. They are undermanned and overworked. But, there have been a number of improvements being implemented already to address the concerns.
In terms of compensation, I cannot really represent everyone as HP is a big organization but relatively, HP pays really well. I am part of the Apps organization so I cannot speak for people within the BPO and ITO groups.
Lastly, BPO and ITO (Infrastructure) accounts for approx 40% of the whole HP in the Philippines. Approximately 60% works on Applications. BPO is a loosely used word. It's basically outsourcing or subcontracting back office work. People in Apps either do application support (though not working directly with end users/business). They do L2 and L3 application management support for different clients. They might or might not do BPO work (depending on how you use the term) but they definitely do not do "call center" work. They do not accept calls or responsibility as their primary responsibility. Then, there's a big chunk of people doing Application projects. They are not doing BPO work instead, they are contracted to do project delivery to different customers. Similarly, they do not do "call center" work.
Approx 60% of employees are in Apps that do not do "call center" work. of those remaining 40%, the number of people doing "call center" type of work might be less than half.
I just wanted to share my perspective as someone within the Apps organization. HP is a really huge organization, there are a lot of positive things and there might be negative things but both good or bad should not generalize the entirety of the population.
wow i guess politics is everywhere.
Ma'am/ Sir, I just want to ask ano pong ginagawa ng GSD? Parang call center lang ba talaga? may career growth po ba dito? I'm an engineering graduate, can you say na related pa rin ito sa course ko?
