Just want to share my experience as working homebased. I have been working from home for more than 2 years. started feb-2009 until now. If you are a mom, okey mag work-at-home.

Best thing for me working at home eh, no transportation cost, no clothing cost, and you are with you family. Okey din ang pay for work-at-home since mostly employers are direct. No 3rd party kaya walang bawas. Although mas tipid sa employer yan. I started earning 14,500 until tumaas hanggang mga 19k. Employers also give atleast 1,000 each month for your internet costs.

Aside from being a home-based CSR and virtual assistant, pwede ka pa gumawa ng online online business na pagkikitaan mo, like online selling which I did.

The catch is, when you are working home-based usually, night shift ka, depende sa mahanap mong employer. Minsan lang, hindi mo talaga mabalance ang life mo when working home-based. Nagtatake in ka ng calls and biglang *** anak mo sisingit siya, wanting something. Work ko is from 9:00PM to 5:00AM, hindi naman toxic yung work ko, and mababait yung employers ko, minsan petiks mode lang ako, walang ginagawa ko, nagffb lang, minsan if talagang walang ginagawa nakakalinis pa ko ng bahay.

For 2 years ko itong ginagawa and for me, nakakasawa na talaga siya. I feel, I have been closed and deprived from the outer world. Although, I am happy kasi I am with my kids, every person din needs a social life, coffee outside. Hindi ko magawa kasi 100% employed ako and a 100% full time mom. alteast if you are working in an office talaga, nagkakaroon ka ng social life, you can connect to others. Dumating na nga sa point that my best friends name is Google eh.

Aside from that, there are no guaranteed career growth sa line of career na ito. They can give you a raise, pero your job position will still remain the same.

To top if all, if you are looking for a work at home job, a work at home job is a nice start for moms that wants to spend time with their kids lalo na if they are still young, pero it is not considered a life time job. My psychological and mental effects din siya.

I would like to state that this is just my personal experience not harming any company or employee working as a home-based agent.

I work from home - got a long term client through odesk. I also have another client who gives me work on an as-needed basis.

So far, so good. My pay is better than the office - four figures in dollars monthly if I do work for 40 hours per week (if I decide to do so). I'm also paying for taxes, SSS, PAGIBIG and Philhealth. I also have life insurance. Even with those expenses, I still get good takeout pay.

It's true that there are low-paying jobs in odesk. I simply avoid them. I also got invitations to work on these low priced jobs but I just decline them.

Though being a freelancer in odesk is good, it's always wise to establish another source of income.
