You don't need to buy books (if you haven't yet). You can get the basics from the net. Although I'm not discouraging you to buy books. (May I suggest C by Dissection by Kelley and Pohl)

You might also want to download DevC++ and practice your programming there. You'll be better off applying what you've read instead of simply imagining them.

CIS559M — Advanced Database Systems

sa undergrad na CS, may course kami na ADVANDB (Advanced Topics in Database Systems). na-take ko na yun nung 1st term of this school year. di ko sure kung same yung content, pero si doc bulos din kasi yung prof namin dati (chineck ko lang sa MLS yung CIS559M and si doc bulos nakalagay, i'm not sure if nasunod or umiba yung professor niyo.)

di ko sure kung parehas yung CIS559M — Advanced Database Systems na ite-take namin this 3rd term sa tinutukoy mong ADVANDB (Advanced Topics in Database Systems).

ang sure ko lang ay si prof bulos din ang magiging prof namin dun.

pero magkaiba nga ata kasi sabi mo 1st term niyo ito ni-take samantalang 3rd term itong sa amin. umaasa pa naman ako na may mahihiraman ako ng resource materials para makapagbasa in advance.

and cool din siguro na may classmates kaming undergrad

pwede mo i-check yung site niya para tingnan yung slides namin sa ADVANDB, baka naman similar and pwede mo yun gamitin as resource materials if ever. eto yung site niya. hindi na niya inuupdate yung site (kaya nakalagay parin 3rd term 2005-2006 ) pero yung course materials diyan niya nilalagay lahat.

may book ako dati namely Fundamentals of Database Systems by Elmasri & Navathe na nakatago somewhere nagamit lang namin siya nung nagrereport kami. usually kasi yung presentation materials ni doc bulos as in andun na lahat, kahit yung step-by-step processes nakalagay na sa slides with animations and stuff

if MSCS tinetake mo, magkaka-classmates ka na undergrad sa ibang courses kasi merong students na nag-opt for the ladderized program.
