    Sabi nga ni Chief Franz be gentle, add ko din be patient o kaya magpatulong sa mas mahilig sa halaman, in my case yung pinsan ko nagtatanim supplier lang ako ng seeds at supplies. Sabi nga niya minsan "siya ang nagtanim pero ako ang kumain"

    Sa mga gumagamit pa ng achuete -- Annatto yung seeds mas mabilis mag-germinate kung itatanim mo yung nababad na sa mainit tubig for food coloring.

    Kasi nagtanim ako ng seeds na nabili sa palengke, yung as is tanim agad walang nabuhay, yung sinave ko after gamitin as food coloring meron na around 8 seedlings.

    Oks din ito for container growing para sa katulad ko na konti ang space, yung kapitbahay namin dito may tanim siya Achuete nasa malaking paso lang nagfruit na daw nung summer, yun nga lang 3 pirasong bunga kaya karampot lang seeds na nagamit niya.

    just saw our garden, our bird's eye chilli plants are withering. ubos yun dahon and its turning brown. the ground too soggy. it must be over saturated with rainwater.

    Yung echinacea kaya wala talagang pag-asa mabuhay dito saten? Naubos ko na yung first packet ko ng yates echinacea seeds. Kelangan pa ba talaga cold-stratification dun? Yun kasi nakikita ko sa Goolge. Nag-aalangan tuloy ako buksan yung ikalawang packet hindi pa ako sure paano patubuin yun baka sayang lang.

    Yung sweet basil seed packets kaya sa supermarket e yung normally nasa supermarket na basil? Kasi kapag bumibili ako, 'basil' lang ang label. Baka kako iba ang tubo nitong sweet basil dun. Plano ko sana taniman ng mga herbs yung plantbox namin sa bahay, kaso lang sa panahon ngayon na pabagyo-bagyo, hindi ba sayang ang effort or sa Nov-Dec nalang na less na ang instances ng bagyo? Maaga pa kasi e, September at October may mga bagyo pang darating di ba. Baka mamatay lang sila, sayang. Pwede na kaya yung mga commercial seed packets sa supermarket (Rosemary, thyme, etc)?

    Etong sili ko, nahingi ko sa pinuntahan naming trip sa Bagasbas Daet noong last week ng Mayo. Eto sya noon:

    Ngayon hindi ko pa nakuhanan ng picture, pero mas tumingkad yung pagka-red orange nya, pero hindi sya pula talaga, tapos namamaga na sya. Sabi ng papa ko, pagkapitas e papatuyuin ko daw ang buto para maparami nya. Tapos yung mismong sili e pwedeng nang gamitin, basta nga itabi yung buto para maparami sila. Sabi ni papa eto daw yung mga siling mas sobra pa anghang kesa sa siling labuyo, yung sili daw nila ito sa India. Hindi ko pa lang nareresearch kung yun nga talaga yun. Kayo ba alam nyo kung anont sili ito?

    My mom attended a seminar about vermiculture. Anyone practicing this? Sobrang konti lang ng lupa sa bahay pero yung mga taniman namin ay yung mga lumang 5-gal plastic bottles tapos ikinabit sa gate, elevated rin. Buti nalang kanyo at elevated, pati yang sili ko nasa upper plant box. Kasi yung papa ko may 5 Sasso chicken, pinapakawalan pag daytime, sus nasira na yung mga halaman namin na nasa baba lang. Well at least may nakakaing halaman yung mga manok kaysa puro feeds lang.

    hi. i just wanna be enlightened, for those who have Kaffirs, did you place them on direct sunlight or kailangang nasa shade sila? 5 inch tall palang kasi sya and i don't know kung mabubuhay so i'm being extra careful.

    I placed my kaffirs underneath some shade ...... it can get really hot here in my neck of the woods (Laguna). They're doing great so far.

    not possible to germinate from seeds. only from cuttings for pepper vines.

    I used to put them sa shade but my mom put them sa direct sunlight when they were hardy enough. I think they will survive in heat kasi marami akong nakikita sa Thailand sa kalye lang ang kaffir and Thailand has extreme hot weather. But to be sure pag maliit pa sa shade na lang, na may bubong, pwede rin kasi malunod sa sobrang ulan.
