Is it possible to have ur child baptized at the second time?

Im planning to have my child baptized again on the same Religion (CAtholic). Can anyone tell me what are the conflicts may occur if i do this?Well, the reason is first, me and my bf wasn't able to prepare that time of her 1st baptism thus my mother took the job and the result, were not contented on those godparents who attended.we are planning to do it now since we informed already all of our friends.please tell me how possible is this!thanks!!

I see no reason why not, I mean our kids God parents will be our kids parents if something happen to us, so go ahead. At least kilala nyo yung mga magiging kumare at kumpare nyo, hindi lang yung kung sino sino jan.

Baptism is celebrated to an individual ONLY ONCE in his lifetime. It cannot be repeated to the same person.

I think this is not possible. We are on the same situation months before, since we are here in Saudi, baptism is discreet. We can baptized our son, but no pictures of the ceremony. Since baptism is very important, we want people important to us also to be present.

A friend who baptized his son here, ask a priest once they came back to philippines, to rebaptized the baby and its a Big NO.

I guess kung ang problema lang naman is yung mga ninong, your husband can understand as well as his friends. Kasalanan pa daw yun sabi nung pari.

So we ended up baptizing our son there in our county.

yeah that also came to my mind it will become a sin to do it.i just think there's nothing wrong since ul not telling the priest to re baptist her and ditch the baptismal cert. for me that's easy.hehe!Mmmhhh i'l think further bout it.

I don't know kung paano yun naging "kasalanan", di ba sa katoliko nga may tinawag din na kumpil, na prang binyag lang din, pero pag nag 7 yrs old ka na pwedeng gawin, para may isip na daw

But anywho, I guess it's a matter of religious preferences,if you think that it is a "sin", then don't do it.

What I mean is that the Catholic Church never re-baptizes those she has baptized.

If a Catholic renounces his Catholic faith for other religion, and that religion requires him/her to be baptized according to the teaching of that new religion, the Catholic Church has no hold on that.

That is Confirmation which is actually a different sacrament.
