Simply stated: wi-tribe Philippines' Starter Package @ P998MSF have UNLIMITED download volume at speeds 256 - 512 kbps but every month, each Subscriber is allocated 6GB download volume at speeds of 1Mbps (if used at off-peak hours or between 1am - 7am, the 6GB monthly allowance will be deducted at only 25% actual usage!) with the 1Mbps speeds tapering to 256-512kbps speeds once the 6GB is used-up even before end of each month!

Each Subscriber will again enjoy 6GB download volume at speeds of 1Mbps at start of each month!!!

Masyadong nagpapayaman ang mga Internet Service Provider COmpanies dito sa Pilipinas.

Samantalang sa ibang bansa, ang binabayad nating 1mbps, 1295pesos, sa ibang bansa nasa 3mbps na.

Masyado talagang nagpapayaman ang mga ISPs.

And about the 4th Generation (4G), ano ba naman tong offer ng wi-tribe, naturingang 4G na ang systems nila pero 1 mbps pa rin? Dapat nga nasa 3-5mbps na offer nila. Kasi ang 3.5G is capable of up to 2mbps speed, pero offer ng mga sun/globe/smart, in reality, 384kbps-1mbps lang lagi nagbibigay ng alloted speeds.

Dapat nga, sa Pilipinas 2010 na ngayon, minimum connection speed na iooffer ng bawat ISPs ay 1mbps, phase out na dapat ang 384 at 512kbps.

Masyado lang talaga nagpapakayaman ang mga ISPs dito.

Sa totoo lang, naguupgrade na masyado ang bandwidth ng mga websites. Like Youtube, dati SD lang ang video nila, ngayon HD na. Kaya kahit 1mbps ang speed mo, magla-lag pa rin ang HD video ng youtube.

Yung friend ko sa Japan. Well 5 mbps lang naman ang speed niya don sa price na 1500 a month in peso.

Some customers use file sharing software and download large files like music and videos. This uses up lots of network capacity leaving less available for you. If they’re doing this at peak times, it could mean that the speed of your broadband connection will be affected.

Am I likely to be affected by the Fair Use Policy?

If you don’t use file sharing software or download large files frequently from the Internet it’s unlikely you’ll ever be affected by this policy. If you do, all we ask is that you do so considerately, perhaps by downloading during off-peak hours of 1am to 7am. Don’t forget that media streaming, including the streaming of internet radio contributes to your use of bandwidth and may, if left permanently on, cause you to be in breach of this policy.

What will happen if my use is very high?

Once you have consumed your Fair Usage Threshold, we may reduce the transmission speed of your broadband connection. If you use up your Fair Usage Threshold before the month is over, your broadband connection will NOT be cut off. However, we may adjust your surfing speed to below 512 Kbps. You will enjoy your Fair Usage Threshold again at speeds of up to 1Mbps on the following month.
