this is a total load of bull i will speedtest later for proof that if you use wi-tribe after 1am and you have been capped you are always at 256kbps until the next month. BTW tell your field reps to tell the customers about the fair usage policy ok?its not even clear on the contract!!so you want us to check the website first?sure thats smart.Im sure you are just protecting your business and I am just helping out the consumers of an informed decision about your service.

as an update of things with wi-tribe i am able to download again at speeds of 1mbps lately i dont know why but i hope it stays this way. the speeds are alittle unstable as of late and it cuts off sometimes but all in all better performance than last week. Hopefully San Miguel Corp has been listening to the complaints of the customers about capping and misleading information thats why we seen this uptick in performance.

naicip ko din yun, but i got the service mid feb eh so it should not have been reset yet. i know its a possibility so i have been downloading like crazy for 2 days now *** pa naman. but of course i will post updates when i get capped.

yup new month lang kaya i had a speed boost. Im back to being capped again, and its not even that stable at 256kbps anymore. Seriously its like we cant get any good comments from people who subscribed to this service. cant you guys in the company get a hint?ang damming angry customers ng company at service na toh.

And your in 24 month lock-in period, in computation you can get 120Gb decent download in 24 months, whereas only 1-2 months you can get 120Gb for a 1Mbps connection 24-hour non-stop.

I am seriously thinking of not paying this bills nalang and giving back the CPE. i can get around the same service at PLDT 512kbps plus a landline for this price or sun broadband wireless 749 i think at around the same speeds or better. Its just like a credit card bill anyways they can bill you all they want but if you can or wont pay they cant do anything. The down side is you wont get any credibility or credit in the future oh well.

BTW if anyone has complaints about wi-tribe you can file a complaint here http://www.dtincr.ph/complaint.php

5GB cap? In the Philippines of all places?

  14. #74
yes pangit talaga itong service. the first few days okay sa 3rd day onwards parang dial up. ang bagal! balik na lang ako sa dating ISP ko.. hayyys sayang pera.. not paying the next month's fee!!

  15. #75
Looks like you guys have just been ripped off. I think there should be a law already banning companies from imposing the the lock-in period. It's a scam. You can't even cancel your subscription even if there's no service at all. I can't blame you guys if you stop paying your bills. You guys are much better off subscribing from old established ISPs.

Maybe all of the subscribers involved should protest by not paying their bills altogether until their services are delivered as promised.

Pag may Fair Usage policy it means hindi unlimited. Kung 3GB lang ang cap nyan eh browse browse ka lang...pag madalas ka mag YouTube at mag DL ubos yan in 2 weeks.

There was a month na I downloaded about 20GB of files not counting my browsing media sites like Youtube using PLDT Plan 990 (with phone line) so I don't think may cap yung sa PLDT.

Cool 6GB Monthly Allocation in Effect!

Asper Text Advisory from wi-tribe Philippines (Effective March 15, 2010):

Here is something to make you smile- and wink:
Enjoy unlimited broadband with speeds of up to 1mbps! Wi-tribe Move Up Plan at P998MSF at speeds of up to 1Mbps with 6GB Monthly Usage Allowance is here! You 6GB monthly usage allowance will be at speeds of up to 1mbps*. If you use up your 6GB monthly usage allowance before the month is is over, your broadband connection will NOT be cut-off. However, we may adjust your surfing speed to below 512kbps.

You will enjoy your 6GB monthly usage allowance again at speeds of up to 1Mbps on the following month.

    Enjoy Wi-tribe 4G Broadband!

    *Note:
Surfing between 1am to 7am, your 6GB monthly allowance will be deducted at only 25% of actual usage.

  19. #79
4G is very misleading, just a marketing plot if you ask me. the leap in G's must be tremendous and sensible if it were 2020 today or if speeds are 100Mbps but it's 2010 and the speed is like Bayantel, so they should call the Service 3.1G srsly.

  20. #80
still no uptick in my performance. should we call 31-tribe first to get the new speed limit and monthly allocation?its not that much btw but a step in the right direction
