Wi-Tribe-(4G) Fastest Broadband in the Philippines

San Miguel Corporation and Qtel Group (Dubai) joined forces to bring the 4th generation broadband technology in the Philippines.

4G is a broadband that delivers true wired speeds without wired wires.
4G is faster because it has more bandwidth

wired broadband is way more better and consistent than any 3G/4G service.

wag na kayong magaksaya ng panahon sa wi-tribe na iyan. ningas cogon lang iyan, sa umpisa lang magaling pero palak rin like Globe's WiMax (4G) & 3G, SmartBro and Sun Broadband

Well, any service/utility had to start from somewhere.

Competition is always good. It forces the present players to be on their toes in terms of service quality.

I had a look at the wi-tribe website, and I personally think you need to provide more details if you really want to attract serious customers. At least provide how fast your transfer rates are in bits per second instead of making vague statements like "we provide true wired speeds" and "3 times faster than 3G". Pricing would also help of course.

I also visited their website. I think I need 20 GB a month or a week ba yon. Yup, their is no pricing. A friend of a friend has a modem already but it has no signal. It seems it's not yet ready.

Unang naglabas ng WIMAX (Fixed Wireless) ang Globe Broadband, 512kbps @ P795MSF or 1Mbps @ P995MSF last May, 2009 pero 3G (HSDPA) pa rin yata?!

    Check link:

Ang Liberty Telecom was bought by San Miguel Corp. and in partnership with QTel, they introduced wi-tribe 4G WIMAX, 1mbps @ P998MSF only this month!

    1. Bakit kaya may currency adjustment charge yung subscription rates nila? (Section 2a nang application form nila).

    2. Unlimited pero may fair usage policy? (Section 4h nang application form nila).

Broadband ISP are all the same! If you want a fast internet connection then chose the higher Plan...

call me crazy, but i think i'll give Wi-Tribe a shot.

i'm just speculating here (i'm not a big techie), but i think the reason why some subscribers were unhappy with Globe's Wimax is because 1. Globe wasn't fully ready for it and 2. it was only 3G, na for cell phones lang dapat talaga, not laptops or desktops. yet with Wi-Tribe, Liberty Telecom and Qtel are definitely bigger and more experienced companies than Globe when it comes to providing internet services, so on my part mas "kampante" ako.

also, i think they're regulating the bandwith among users to ensure consistent and satisfying service for everyone using it because yeah, some people do tend to hog bandwith. kaya nga "Fair" usage diba?

You can bring your (humongous) Wi-Tribe modem along with you and use it anywhere (where signal is available.)

Lipat na kayo sa Wi-Tribe para bumilis uli yung 3G service na ginagamit ko. hehehehe.
