Ogie Alcasid thrilled over 'Boy Pick Up' film spin-off

After portraying the annoying “Bubble Gang” brat Angelina, Ogie Alcasid will take another hilarious, marked character he popularized in the same gag show, Boy Pick Up, to the big screen.
The singer-composer is apparently excited over the forthcoming project, which will also include his cast mates on “Bubble Gang.”
“Tinatapos na namin ‘yung script tapos shooting kami after ng concert namin ni misis (Regine Velasquez), so after nung concert nood kayo ng movie namin, boom,” Ogie told “Balitanghali, Jan. 31.
When asked what pick up line he'd use on his wife Regine, Ogie responded in true Boy Pick Up fashion, “Asawa ba kita? Kasi ang ganda mo, boom!”
Since its inclusion to “Bubble Gang,” the "Boy Pick Up" segment has gained a cult following of sorts, spawning a t-shirt line under the Francis Magalona Clothing Company as well as a soundtrack in the works, reported GMA News last December.
The “Boy Pick Up” official Facebook fan page is also apparently a hit online, with more than 239,000 likes as of this writing.
Ogie couldn’t be happier over the success of “Boy Pick Up,” as he enthused to GMA News TV’s “Showbiz Exclusives” last month.
“…Nakakatuwa kasi nakikita mo ‘yung mga ngiti nung mga kabataan... nung mga tao… and it’s overwhelming. Natutuwa ako because tulad ng mga characters na ginagawa namin dati, tulad ng Angelina [and] Yaya (portrayed by Michael V), ito, si Boy Pick Up naman. Salamat at sana patuloy niyong susubaybayan ang ‘Boy Pick Up,’” said Ogie.
For the movie version of “Boy Pick Up,” Ogie’s leading lady will be “Survivor Philippines” celebrity castaway Solenn Heussaff.
Although a relative newbie in comedy, Solenn is poised to deliver a considerable performance.
"'Yong baluktot na pagta-Tagalog ko, funny na!” she quipped to PEP.
"Mag-start kami ng shooting itong February na kasi April yata ang play date,” the singer-actress added.

ANO KAYA ang nangyari sa proyektong My Kontrabida Girl na pinagtatambalan nina Aljur Abrenica at Rhian Ramos? Ang akala namin, pang-Valentine Presentation ito ng GMA Films.
Several weeks ago, very excited pa si Aljur sa pagkukuwento sa amin na masaya siya dahil pang-Valentine’s offering nga raw ito ng GMA Films. At natutuwa raw siyang sa kanya ibinigay ang gano’ng project.
Dati kasi, puro si Richard Gutierrez ang lead actor ng mga pelikulang prinodyus ng GMA Films for its Valentine’s presentation. Flattering nga naman na its Aljur’s turn naman.
Pero sumapit at natapos ang Araw ng mga Puso, hindi naipalabas ang My Kontrabida Girl. Nagkamali ba ng akala si Aljur? Is he misinformed tungkol sa playdate ng pelikula nila ni Rhian?
Baka sa 2013 Valentine’s Day pa ang showing nito. Hindi kaya?

Nag-tweet kami kay Direk Yam Laranas para magtanong tungkol sa showing ng The Road sa States.
Sa May 11 daw ang showing ng movie sa USA at ang red-carpet premiere ay bago ang opening ng movie sa prestigious (Mann) Chinese Theater sa Hollywood Blvd.
Hindi pa alam ni direk kung sino sa cast ang dadalo, pero wish nitong buong main cast ay dalhin ng GMA Films sa States.
Ang sabi, si Rhian Ramos pa lang ang tiyak na dadalo sa premiere night ng The Road.
Pinuri ang direction ni Yam at ang lahat ng bumubuo ng cast at dahil sa promo ng movie, muling lumabas si Rhian at narinig naming kumanta si TJ Trinidad.
Kahit lumalabas-labas na, Rhian pinagbabawalan pang makipag-usap tungkol sa pinagdaanan

BOOM: Si Rhian Ramos ang binigyan ng mainit na welcome sa Party Pilipinas kahapon.
Maaga pa lang ay nasa GMA 7 na ito at habang nagpapaayos, pinapanood niya ang replay ng My Beloved sa dressing room.
Nagsimula nang lumabas-labas si Rhian bilang paghahanda sa promo ng pelikulang My Kontrabida Girl kasama si Aljur Abrenica.
Dumalo rin si Rhian sa event ng Mega magazine kamakailan pero mahigpit na ipinagbabawal na tanungin ang tungkol sa pinagdaanan niyang isyu.
‘My Kontrabida Girl’ – Official Movie Poster Released

GMA Films has released the official movie poster for their upcoming romantic comedy movie “My Kontrabida Girl.”
If “UnOfficially Yours” has the distinction of having the first kick as*s movie poster for this year sor far, the poster for GMA Films’ “My Kontrabida Girl” would the second one.
I like movie posters that depict what the movie is all about in a witty and funny way and this one is definitely commendable.
“My Kontrabida Girl,” by the way, tells the story of an effective character actress (Rhian Ramos) who is typecast as a cruel and scheming villain on screen just like Bella Flores, Celia Rodriguez and Gladys Reyes who had a cameo roles in the movie, but in real life, she’s a sweet girl who has yet to be lucky in love until he met a guy (Aljur Abrenica) who will change her outlook in life.
Also starring in the movie are tween heartthrob Jake Vargas, “Alice Bungisngis” star Bea Binene, StarStruck winner Ryza Cenon, Asian Super Model Contest Media’s Darling awardee Bela Padilla and young comedienne Chariz Solomon, plus 4 Kapuso hunks namely Kevin Santos, Sef Cadayona, Ken Chan and Enzo Pineda, who reportedly showed their butts in one of its most talked-about scenes.
The movie is helmed by Jade Castro, the director of the critically acclaimed horror comedy “Zombadings 1: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington” and it’s coming soon in theaters nationwide.

HALOS SABAY na pumasok sa showbiz sina Rhian Ramos at Erich Gonzales. Pareho din silang bini-build up ng kani-kaniyang TV networks para maging top leading ladies ng kanilang he-nerasyon. Hindi rin naman sila nagpapatalo pagdating sa kontrobersiya at pareho rin silang magaling sa pag-arte.
Sabay na ipapalabas sa March 14 ang kani-kanilang pelikula: Ang My Kontrabida Girl ay isang romance-comedy film na pinagbibidahan ni Rhian Ramos at kapares niya rito si Aljur Abrenica. Sa kabilang banda, isang horror-romance story naman ang Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang na bida si Erich Gonzales.
