bakit ang mga pinoy excited masyado sa mga special occassions

like for example napadaan ko sa may national bookstore sa may SM megamall, January 2, a day after ng new year may nakasulat na ng Happy valentines day.

Bakit nga ba tayo excited sa mga ganitong occassion especially christmas na tipong 1st week ng september may nagpapatugtog na ng christmas carols?

Because Filipinos generally loves parties and everything festive. It has also something to do with hard times - To cover up the true picture of financial hardships.

because special occassions divert our attentions from the ugly things that we face everyday. nakaka-excite talaga ang tumakas paminsan-minsan.

Because it give us something to look forward too, especially yung mga taong busy sa trabaho, special occasions lang talaga nakakapag enjoy, like the upcoming Easter, syempe, makakapag relax at the same time spending quality time with family.
Saka wala namang masama, sa US nga mas madami pang holidays,(ie Bring Your Kids To Work Days,Grand parents Day, Greyhound Day at kung ano ano pang day ) although not all of it consider as Federal holidays but some people celebrate it in a special and simple way.

i think it's one of their marketing strategy po reminding us of the next season/holiday na pagkakagastusan...

sa pinoy side naman, for me eto na yung parang isa sa mga rewards and stress reliever ko sa buhay like working straight for several days then pag may special occasion or family gathering sobrang maiinspire ako magtrabaho kasi i get to see my family and relatives again

kasi it gives us a reason to deviate from our normal ways (pananamit, pagkain, etc).

pag nakabihis ka kasi ng mas maganda than usual, parang merong mali sa iyo.

it'a all about money, pera, anda, atik, dollars and kwarta.

    imagine mo na lang:
    Mother's day
    Father's day
    Grandparents day
    Friends day
    Friends of Friend of day
    Blackfriday
    Cybermonday

    at kung ano-ano pang day!

it's all about promotions to deceive people and get all their hard-earned cash.

    Happy April fool's day!!!!!
