Ngayon, I'm actively looking for an opportunity and a headhunter is endorsing me to this company again. Based sa headhunter, competetive na daw ang offer dito ngayon. Can someone confirm that? Thanks in advance.
90k for senior java devs -- competetive enough? maybe

thats good na, 90k for a senior pos.. hmm dont know lang sa iba ah...

Although this thread is old, here's my take on the company:

    Application process:
    1. Technical Exam - you'll be given two machine problems; you only need to select one machine problem to solve. Criteria for the program was already posted by another member in this thread.
    2. Panel interview - depending on the position your applying, the number of people on the panel varies. For me there were four.
    3. Development Manager - this was the final interview, if you pass this you'll be given a JO.

    Feedback on the interviewers:
Panel interviewers - the composition of the panel was good; one leads the panel interview, two senior/technical guys, and one behavioral type of guy.
Dev Manager interview - highly technical as well

They'll openly give you information as to what they are working on and what skills they need for the position your applying for. Just ask.

For the environment, they're located at the Makati Stock Exchange, the building nearer Makati avenue. The floors I was able to visit was the Ground and the Fourth floors. Both floors were neat and professional.
My impression was that they really spent for the furniture.
A glimpse at the people working there, they do seem relaxed, or maybe that's what the interviewers said to me so that's what I saw.

For the salary, they gave me what I asked for.
Benefits are also competitive - HMO, performance bonus, loan, and leaves.

You also get additional incentives once you get regularized.
I have 9 years of working experience in IT and have applied as a Senior Developer.

Hope this is insightful to fellow Champ applicants.

Comparing to another company who gave me a JO earlier, Champ's offer is better.

90k? Sr. Dev na? I think its decent though pero I feel there are more better offers for the same post.

Hindi na ko binalikan after my technical exam. They said walang interviewers for March kaya April na ulit raw magreresume ang pag-interview sa mga applicants.

Di pa po. Have just gone through their application process.
If circumstances are right, I may be joining this company.

Responsibility just seems tougher there compared to where I'm currently working.

    You also applying in Champ?

Honestly, I don't know how to evaluate a company's stability.
I only have input for these:
    1) History
    2) Input from Dev Manager

If you need a serious answer on this, I think it deserves more study.

    1) History
Based on the company's history (http://www.champ.aero/index.php/abou.../champ-history), they've been in business since 2004. Around 8 years? Still young, but has proven sustainability I believe. Champ Philippines opened just last 2010. Based on info from their business dev they're looking to expand (add new employees) this year.

    2) Input from Dev Manager
The development manager said that he foresees the company or the product(?) to be still on the market or in demand for the next 10 to 15 years.

Looking at the products they offer may give you an idea if the services they offer can or will do sustain the company.

If you have the time naman and am not in a hurry, I suggest you push through with them so that you get first-hand experience of the environment and the people (the interviewers) who work there.
(Someone to verify my feedback? )

Personally, I push through with all the interviews I can fit on my schedule (and I can handle mentally kasi exhausting din ang interviews.. ) ), and just make my choice based on the companies that give me a JO. Hindi naman kasi lahat ng inaapply-an ko napapasa ko.. )

salamat sa input sir, actually im not in hurry din po. pwede ko naman po sakaling mamili kung meron din na po JO sa iba. mahirap po talga mag kamali ehehehe

Hi Sir. Any particular Java framework na ginagamit nila? I'm also into J2EE pero hindi pa ko hasa masyado sa mga frameworks. My experiences are with web development using JSPs and no particular framework (merely JSPs and Java file only).

I'm also interested to this company kaya lang baka highly skilled in J2EE and kailangan nila.

This company reeks of crab mentality. Just an impression.

  13. #33
@markmywords, are you from this company? Okay ba dito ang java developer? How about the projects, new and from scratch ba or more on maintenance like bug fixing? May travel opportunities ba?
