Feedbacks from Dr. Mike Chua

Hindi naman namumuwersa si Dr. Chua pero magaling siya magmarket ng products niya. Business niya yon. Hindi niya sasabihin na "kailangan mo ___", sasabihin niya pros & cons ng mga services. Having said that, I don't feel any pressure into undergoing the services. Siguro kaya ibang pexer feeling nila naprepressure sila kasi informed sila sa mga benefits ng services - that is, without overglowing guarantees, yet may reservations pa rin sila kasi alam nilang napaka subjective ng response. Or maybe they feel pressured kasi laid out mga alternatives sa kanila at pipili lang sila doon. Or maybe kasi hindi lang dahil doon sa services ang problema - puedeng financially din, like me, pressured din akong maghanap ng pera pangderma.

Ang sinasabi lang niya na guarantee ay "Oo, merong improvement." "Some patients respond well to the treatment, others don't." Ang safe niya sumagot.

Right now, hindi pa rin talaga ako sure kay Dr. Chua. Gusto ko lang siya kasi mas affordable ang services at merong improvement balat ko. Nalulungkot lang ako sa sinasabi niyang "di na babalik sa original mukha mo." Sobrang depressing ng last visit ko. Guaranteed, di ko pa naman ginagawa lahat ng puedeng services. Kaso gumastos na ako ng malaki-laki kaya nakakadagdag ng kalungkutan.

May nakatry na dito dermaroll plus subcission kay Dr. Chua?

as for me... ayos si dok mike... madaling makausap especially sa text kung may concerns ka at mag-aadvice siya ng mga treatment na angkop sayo at concern din siya sa budget ng patient... actually almost 1.3k lang gastos ko every month

topical meds at diamond peel lang naman yung akin and in all fairness, minsan na lang ako magkapimple kahit madalas akong puyat, stressed at laging nadudumihan ang mukha dahil sa pagbyahe... after 3 months, pansin ko na smooth hawakan yung face ko though hindi kapag titignan (eversince ganun na talaga haha) dahil malalaki pores ko at may ilang pimple marks and small scars na din prior to my treatment... and problem ko na lang talaga are blackheads and whiteheads though hindi na talaga maiiwasan kasi malalaki nga talaga pores ng mukha ko

naging inquisitive ako sa dermaroller pero inadvice niya sa akin na IPL for my finelines at discoloration kasi hindi naman daw grabe yung case ng pimple aftermath ko...

I like doc mike... I have'nt gone to any derma after him. I still see him once every 3 months more or less for my treatment. Sya ang pinaka OK sa mga derma na napuntahan ko. Nirerecommend ko sya sa mga friends ko and unanimous naman kami in saying that he is ok. . I dont think its a PR job kasi naexperience ko first hand and he is truly OK.

budget: depende sa skin problems mo...
ako i had facial and diamond peel, then ask for some acne creams, underarm whitening... i spent almost 4 thou... but reasonable enough.
bring 5 thou with you... pero kung mababa lang budget mo, pwede naman balikan mo na lang yung mga medicines na suggest niya sayo.. and some meds are available from mercury naman...

I've been spending much na kasi and bumabalik lang din ang pimples after pricking and diamond peel. Ang laki na rin ng nagastos ko for meds, topical and lalo na yung oral meds. Hopefully gumaling na. Around 10k na nagagastos ko

Simple treatment and preventive measure:

1. Wash skin - gently
2. Avoid rubbing or scratching
3. Shave carefully
4. Sun exposure - some level of sun exposure has been mentioned as beneficial to acne
5. Avoid sunburn
6. Avoid suntan
7. Choose cosmetics carefully

10k for 4 mos? di na sya gaanong mahal friend... yun nga lang di ka nagimprove at all? Why dont you tell him about it?
My experience with doc mike is pleasant. regular ko tinatry magpacleaning kahit once a month... i'm at this point na nagimprove na ang skin ko. Super mura nga si doc mike compared sa ibang napuntahan ko to think very hands on sya...

I'm using doc mike's clindamycin solution and glycolic acid with salicylic acid toner. I haven't had a pimple since I started using these. He's also very accommodating and nice. Be prepared to spend 2,500-3,000 on your first visit. That's for the facial and diamond peel plus the medicine. He gave me a facial wash, acne gel, and the 2 solutions. After my first visit, I only buy the solutions from him (400 each) and so far no more pimple problems.

Btw sa mga soon to be patients, eto lang masasabi ko . Para lang may idea kayo kung bat nasatisfied ako kay Doc Mike :
- Super accomodating. Kumportable ako sa kanya.
- Nageexplain mabuti , ( ex. causes ng pimples, effects ng gamot, expectations etc. )
- Nagpapatext kung may problema ( very Important para sa akin na mabilis mabother)
- Hindi nananaga sa presyo. Mukhang mayaman kasi.
- Hindi namimilit. nagsusuggest lang pero kung ayaw mo wag mo.
- Hands on.

I dont think that he is the most brilliant dermatologist in town, kasi obviously may mga hindi hiyang sa kanya. Pero, its worth na subukan sya because of the mentioned reasons. Irerecommend ko pa rin sya, at hindi ito PR job katulad ng iba jan... :P

I totally agree. I went to his clinic kahapon.. Verrryyy accomodating.. Comfy ako sa kanya unlike sa ibang derma na talagang susyal na mahihiya ka magsabi ng mga prob sa skin mo. Kinonsult ko *** hypertrophic scars ko sa nose, nirecommend nya steroids injection. I'm still debating kc sabi nung isang derma na kinonsult ko sa med city.. mas ok daw laser. 1 session lang 7k. 2k per session kay Dr. Mike *** injection.. I'll need 4 sessions daw.. Meron naba sa inyo nagtry magpa treat ng hypertrophic acne scars sa inyo? What worked best?
