    Dialysis Training

Since wala pa akong mahanap na trabaho or volunteer man lang, I decided na mag dialysis training na lang. San maganda mag dialysis training?

  2. #2
Metropolitan Hospital: 4 months, good facility w/ uptodate machines.
National Kidney Institute: 6 months, most specialized institution for renal training.
Heart Center: 6 months, inclusive of BLS/ECG/ACLS licenses since its a Cardio-Renal training program.

In the end, it won't really matter kung saan ka nag-training as long na accredited ito ng Renap. After training you will have to take the national exam conducted by Renap and will get a Certified Renal Nurse license if you pass.

Hemodialysis is good specialization choice. Good luck!

^sounds interesting! Mejo mahal nga lang ang training, 10-20k ata. Pero kung maganda naman opportunities after getting certified, i think it's really worth it lalo na kung enjoy mo talaga ang hemodialysis.

If I do get the renal certification, are my chances of getting hired better? O babaliwalain pa rin ng employers at backers nanaman ang labanan?

If you get your CRN (certified renal nurse) license that would mean that you are eligible to work in hemodialysis units at hospitals and private dialysis clinics.

Now your chances in getting hired is a different matter since you would be competing with fellow CRN nurses at lahat naman kayong nag-aapply have the same license.

Kung baga, it gives you more options. Not necessarily an edge.

You're from RENAP ? That's cool. I've visited your office at PHC last month. Ang hirap hanapin. hehe

I'm not sure if we're talking about the same training from heart center. Yung cardio-renal nurse training program kasi nila, 5 or 6 months yung duration. So that's probably 5 weeks renal training and the rest is cardio ?

Metropolitan hospital is located at Masangcay, near Tayuman LRT station. The training costs 10k and lasts 2 months.

Ah, so its 6 weeks.. probably mali yung basa ko dun sa information board nila. How was the experience ?

Balak ko rin sana mag enroll kaso before ko nalaman may ganung training, I'm already finished with the BLS/ECG/ACLS course so sayang naman kung magbabayad ulit ako for the cardio-renal program.

The whole program is good.

  17. #17
    hi po..
    thanks sa advice..
pero **** ko po kc mag dialysis nurse..
un ang **** k tlagang specialization..
hehe..sana nga *** makahanap agad ng work..

*** pong dialysis training ang RENAP. or RENAP doesnt provide trainings for hemodialysis. Dialysis trainings are offered by hospitals, free standing dialysis clinics. You can check it on the web. Try searching for the schedule of PKDF(philippine kidney dialysis foundation) Aesculap B Braun Academy, Asia Renal Care and etc

    wala.

that's why it's not advisable na magtraining ng mga special areas unless hospital na pinagtatrabahuhan nyo anf magpaptraining sa nyo kasi wala rin naman kayong mapupuntahan after that.
im not being pessimistic here...im just presenting the reality.
