they really shouldn't make it childish becuase it's a YA series not a children's

Finished the Hunger Games Trilogy last night.

I like the Peeta part pero yung deaths nakakalungkot. Sabi nga ng iba dito, it makes it real.

Catching Fire ang favorite ko. Twist after twist. Lalo na yung sa Quarter Quell! 5 Stars para sa akin.

The Hunger Games idea naman is interesting. Work work work. It Made me appreciate of the things I have today. 4.5 stars!

    Can't wait for the movie!

I was lucky enough to meet the author (Suzanne Collins) last week at a meet and greet/autograph signing . She was really nice. I didn't like the way she read though. She read with an accent not fitting for the character, but overall, it was worth it.
I even have a pic with her (which I won't show, hehehe )
Too bad I missed Rick Riordan. He also appeared for a meet and greet but all the tickets sold out right away.

Rick Riordan is the author of Percy Jackson series, and the new one out right now, The Lost Heroes.

Another good read is the Maze Runner by James Dashner.

Ah ganun kasi nangyari sa Lovely Bones movie. Ginawa siyang aimed for teenaged market. IMO it would've been better kung pang adult yung treatment sa movie adaptation.

The rest ebooks lang. Pero bibili ako nung HG at CF this Christmas.

Finished the trilogy in 5 days since I couldn't put it down. Well it has been a while since I had a good read that engaged me to read! BRoyale x The Lottery x Romeo&Juliet!

Man I almost cried towards the end. Tears were almost welling my eyes! IF there was one more death after [spoiler start]Prim[spoiler end] , surely I would break down

Fave characters would be Cinna, Rue, Prim and Finnick.
    Least would be...none.

    And 2013, y u so tagal?

So this is where it is.

    March 2012 here we go!

I've also done the same thing about the series. I can't let go of the books. I'm happy to finish it over the weekend by just doing that.

The Mockingjay is where most of the action happened.

Palaging head over heels itong si Peeta kay Katniss then si Katniss palaging my doubt. But I love the Hunger games trilogy. I particularly loved the most yung both opted to die than kill each other sa first book.

Katniss is conflicted between a person who loves her and a person whom she can't live without. Those are two different things.

The book have tons of current issues (personal & social) that a lot of people can relate to that's why the book is deemed to be a hit to all demographic.

The movie seems to match what the book dictates.

Hello. I'm a fan of this trilogy, too. But I haven't finished reading Mockingjay, yet.
so excited na rin sa movie adaptation. I hope maging ok ang kalabasan nito sa film since SC wrote the screenplay, herself.
    The books are awesome.!
I love Katniss. She can definitely fight & kill but she is not that kind of a person who would kill anyone just for the sake of killing.

The trilogy is downright amazing! I especially loved the fact that Katniss kicks ***. I finished the series in 3 days, 1 book per day. Now I have a tattoo semi-inspired by THG.

Can't wait for the movies to come out! It's going to be like the Harry Potter movies for me all over again: lots and lots of waiting!

It's good that the movie is generating much hype. I'm sure a lot of young adults have bought the books in advance promoting literature.

^ in today's society where nobody barely reads books. It's a very good thing.

I love this series! The Peeta-Katniss story made me realize that opposites attract and fits talaga.

    I dedicate this to them

    You are water.
You cleanse away the soot of burning.

Mahal niya. Medyo naguguluhan lang siya nung una. Naliwanagan naman sya sa huli e

I just finished reading this. I know this is two years too late but let me up this in time for the movies. The ending is just... I dunno but I'm sure that this was the feeling Collins wants us to feel.

It's a happy ending (since Kantiss and Peeta are together) but it still not happy, at least that's not how you articulate a sincere happy ending. It'll scar them forever.

I know that sure the first book was very similar with Battle Royale but it's different in many ways. This difference is very significant to be taken for granted.

THG reminds me of The Lottery, The Most Dangerous Game and the Shakespeat R and J.

p.s. I wasn't surprised that Coin was shot.

Also, do you think Coin's order to hold a symbolic 76th Hunger Games to exact revenge took place?

Me too, it wasn't satisfying but then I think Gale knew that she was already Peeta's but he wants Katniss to admit it.

"She will decide based on who she can't live without." Gale knew this that's why after the rebellion, he lived on a different district. I wonder if they were able to unite the nation legitimately and destroy the geographical boundaries that seemed to have isolated the districts from one another.

But then, this is not a love story. The whole point is far from it.

We are so engulfed by the notion that we can't truly love one if just for the reason that we need one; but isn't it precisely needing one the makes us love one?

    #mockingjayonpeetaandkatniss.

House (and not just the actor but the character himself) can make a good Haymitch.
