I've been a fan of this series since i was a kid. And I've even bought model kits (which cost 2000php) back then. Unlike the Gundam series which highlights the whole story with technicalities and scientific aspects, Evangelion focuses more on psychological and emotional struggle of the characters. This is an Anime recommended to everyone especially to someone who likes mecha Anime.

Anyways there is currently an alterate retelling of this series called the 'Rebuild of Evangelion' which will consist of 4 movies. 2 Movies are already shown in Japan and in other parts of the world. 1st movie palang napapanood ko, still waiting for the DVD release of the 2nd movie.

I watched this in ch.2 way back. I thought it was like robots101 but there was a hidden meaning into it. Oh Eva also reminds me of Dual, but it never comes close to it.

isang malaking WTF sa kin ang ending. the first time I watched it on ABS, i was literally staring blankly at my TV minutes after it was over. I thought that either it wasn't really the final episode or there were probably some deleted important scenes that's why i didn't completely get it. Plus I was still in HS back then so I probably couldn't fully grasp all the symbolisms embedded in it. mababaw pa ko nun, what do i know.

I rewatched it a few years after and it was still pretty heavy. I kind of found it weird that ABS, known for their usual wholesome shounen fare, has actually broadcasted Evangelion and removing probably three episodes worth of deleted scenes.

pati yung end of evangelion, ang gulo. hehehe d ko ma gets yung ending. Buhay si Shinji at Asuka non. Hindi naman pinakita yung Nerv kung nawasak o ano man. Nilaro ko na lang yung super robot wars sa PS2 para maintindihan ko storya nito. eh lalo lang akong naguluhan hehe.
