well kung ganun, give them something meaningful na lang... parang ang panget naman ata kung naka envelope pa tapos 500 lang ang laman hehe...

GC pang spa for two or kung may kakilala ka who owns a vacation club ownership, baka pwedeng hiramin yung discount rates para sa accommodations hehe

Almost no one considers giving cordless phones as a gift. And it's usually the most remembered.

How much do you give if you're only a wedding guest, but a friend of either the bride/groom?

There is no certain amount naman talaga. But if you are a principal sponsor, it is expected na malaki ang ibibigay mo.

A funny thing happened at my brother's wedding. One of the principal sponsors (an aunt ng sis in law ko from the States), gave P50 lang. So when we opened the envelope, akala namin meron pang laman sa loob but wala na talaga. It was just the P50. Pero kung makasalita, ang yabang. Oh well.

Sa wedding ko naman, the principal sponsors' gifts ranged from P5k - P80k. Yun nagbigay ng 80k is my uncle who is a father figure to me and my brothers. Some gave dollars (since we also had guests from the US) that ranged $200 - $1,000. Sa mga guests naman, it ranged from P20 (my daughter gave some of her savings from her baon ) to P5,000.

It boils down naman talaga to how much you can afford. Most often, it comes in gift checks from banks para hindi bulky in the envelopes.
