good experience for the day: i gave out gordon stickers at a petron station. one of the gas boys said "si gordon?? ok na ok yan! nagiinternet nga ako para maiboto sya sa survey!"
Now I'm scared. I checked which thread is most viewed and noynoy's still the most viewed.
^^ yung most viewed po yung Noynoy Accomplishment Thread... Wala pong laman yun...
Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.

GRABE. ang sarap maging Gordon volunteer. During my birthday, me and my siblings chose to join the campaign of Gordon-Bayani in Navotas. That was our first time to join a political campaign and was definitely not planned. Originally, we planned togo out, mamasyal, kumain kung saan, manood ng sine (which we actually still did after hours of campaigning on foot ). Our shared vision for the country ignited by Gordon’s call for change however led us to a rather excited agreement to join the campaign that day when my younger sis found an invitation posted in the Gordon fb page.
A few hours later, all 3 of us left my boarding house wearing red shirts, ready for the campaign. At the assembly place, we met 7 other volunteers. We learned during the introductions how most of them started as early as March or April, taking care of their own transportation and merienda expenses as active volunteers in the campaigns. Doc Nelson, also one of the faithful volunteers, even told us, “Naubos na yung red shirt ko kaya di ako naka-red today,” since he was wearing a striped blue shirt at that time. We also learned na kung may pa-merienda man, sagot yun ng isa sa mga volunteers. That day, we had free pa-canton and mineral water c/o Ate Loi.
Also, unlike the other candidate’s assembly area (probably just 30 m away from us), we only had one car available (Kuya Gerry’s, another volunteer) so half of us had to take a taxi to Monumento. The taxi fare was paid for by Coli, another faithful volunteer and a student like us. She refused our offer to contribute to the taxi fare, siya na daw muna ang bahala. At Monumento, we met a few more volunteers and there we were given the campaign materials — stickers, pamphlets, banners, etc. which we were instructed to give out while riding on a rented jeepney (naka-jeep kami sa first 15 minutes then on foot na thereafter). Through the jeepney’s narrow window, kanya-kanyang puwesto kami. I remember posing for the camera a lot with a thumbs-up. Yun daw pala ang sign ni Gordon. And so while passing the busy streets to Navotas riding the jeepney, nasabak kami sa pangangampanya. We were calling out to the people by the streets, “Gordon-Bayani po for 2010!”, sabay abot ng campaign pamphlets, stickers, at pamaypay sa isang kamay, at thumbs up sign naman sa kabila habang tumatakbo ang jip. It felt so good doing it. There are even those who would chase the jeep, kasi gustong makakuha nung mga stickers at pamphlets.
After a few minutes, we had to stop, hanggang dun lang daw kc yung jip. Sumakay ang apat sa amin sa isa pang kotse ng another volunteer who we only met when he tailed our mini-motorcade. Nakita niya lang daw kami along the way. He said he’s also a Gordon supporter so he offered transpo.
Nakakataba ng puso how these people, ranging from students to professionals, are led together by pure principles and support for one political candidate. As I’ve said, this was our first political campaign involvement because personally I never wanted to get involved with politics. After researching on Sen. Gordon however, something changed in me. My views on politics still isn’t changed, I’ll still try my best to stay away from politics. However, volunteering for his campaign was definitely worth it. Mas lalong tumindi ang passion ko to support and endorse him. I now find myself staying up late and spending hours facing my computer not checking my fb account and watching youtube para lang malibang. I stay up late in front of my computer researching about every presidential candidate, their backgrounds, track records, platforms, etc. being careful not to miss any article, video, news, with facts and point of views from different sides. Everything I find out I immediately post in my fb wall and share to my friends.
Hell, yes, I’m a Gordon video/articles spammer. I flood my friends’ pages with these infos cause I believe I’m doing my share of volunteerism. Because I volunteer and believe in the vision of the right man that inspired many of us to act through his examples. And I do these because through Gordon’s vision I now dream for a better Philippines. But now, I remember. Kaya kaisa ng paninindigang nakita ko sa mga nakasamang volunteers, Gordon, the man they call ****, is Definitely My President.
