Evangelion, Claymore, yan yung mga naalala kong mga brutal na napanuod ko.

di nga Naruto nabrubrutalan ka na? the last time i checked, naruto's still pondering on sasuke's feelings. (kakairita na yang ka-emohan niyan)

One more series I forgot to mention: Darker Than Black (and its second season). There's no "I'll let you go for now because you're not worth killing" fights here -- when the contractors fight, they're out to kill. Not to mention that the battles are just amazing. Although the contractors have various abilities, battles are decided through skill and intelligence, rather than outright power.

Hell yeah. The story got me hooked too. Its the kind of anime where there is no good guy and bad guy, hence I don't get disturbed when they all go slice and dice each other.

although i admit i like the manga a tad better.

Lol at Naruto and Bleach being brutal? What are you 5?

Like what the others has said, if its anime: DtB, Claymore, Hellsing, Code de Geass.. Cant recall others.. Mostly read manga..

Has anyone ever read one of the greatest(brutal) manga out there? Shin Angyo Onshi? I really really hope this one gets an anime.

Hope most of these mangas gets an anime, most of them are brutal. Vagabond, Leviathan, MPD Psycho, Zetman, Berserk, Deadman Wonderland, Highschool of the Dead, Monster, Ubel Blatt.. Some of the good manga ive read..

I think there is already a movie about this, Blade of the Phantom Master, but I doubt it will have a series.

    cry series, namely:

higurashi no naku koro ni (When cicadas cry)
umineko no naku koro ni (When seagulls cry)

I'll recommend umineko though. Its like conan (detective series) and blood sprinkled with magic

    *edit*

other gory animes that i've watched before:

    Evangelion
    Elfen Lied
