Very good Anilao weekend! Six dives. Spotted 6 turtles and saw an electric clam. And oh, we saw a white tip shark inside a cave at around 23m! Logged my first dives on my Suunto Stinger. Diving with a computer is really convenient!
I heard that people saw a Manta in the Acacia area. If you include the whale shark sighting at Secret Bay last Monday, you can say that Anilao had a pretty epic week!
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=3211790147848 This was taken June 25. This is strange since Secret Bay is for muck diving.
The Manta sighting was personally verified to me by diver friends who were at Anilao.
No boards - I'm just friends with a lot of divers.
I'll be going to Boracay next weekend. Will try dive and see if it's worth doing.
awesome vid!!! I hope I'll be lucky enough to see a manta or a whaleshark while diving in anilao one day! haha! wishful thinking! )
Lucky u hav lots of diver friends! it must be fun getting invited to dives all the time and stuff! haha!
anyway, about boracay, my instructor told me that Yapak was the nicest dive site there- the only one worth diving in, he says. He says anilao is even nicer than the other dive sites. haha! either way, i'd love to hear about ur diving experience in boracay! and I hope u have pix to share too! haha!
Will probably try Yapak pero ang mahal a! 1700 per dive!
was there during the first july weekend as well, saw the white tip shark, ligpo. Yup, a diver and DM, who was sharing the boat with us did confirm sighting of the manta
Ended up not diving here in Boracay. I forgot my contacts.
Will go to Anilao next week.
gemski_16: Did you see the shark under the rock ledge as well?
