For those of you who don't have ESPN Bristol back there in the Philippines, here's an interesting interview by SportsCenter's Brian Kenny on Floyd Mayweather, Jr. that aired earlier here in the US today. Enjoy.

    part 2

Same interview here's the linkhttp://www.nowboxing.com/2009/05/20/...n-brian-kenny/ Floyd thinks he is the cash cow, how funny discredits Pacman's wins while praising his boring performance against Golden Boy and Hitman

    Cool

I have to admit Floyd Mayweather Jr.is an excellent boxer. He grew up
watching most of his family member in the boxing business. He knew boxing before he box so there's no mystery in his up bringing when it comes to boxing. if you review most of Floyd previous fights his flat footed he moves his head, body and roll his shoulder to ditch the opponents punches. Its a clever move that really work perfect for him. While doing these things Floyd is looking for some counterpunching. Floyd watch his opponent shoulder movement if it moves he knew the the opponent is throwing a punch so he easily move away or block it. There are flaws to these Boxing technics and if the opponent is quick to understand and adjust he can catch Floyd easy.Remember speed is the key to beat Mayweather jr. If Floyd jr.can not overcome the speed of Manny Pacquiao Hands it will be a long night for him.

    Mayweather praises, then belittles Manny

Floyd Mayweather has unleashed a flurry of verbal jabs at Manny Pacquiao.

"If we ever fought, I’d beat the **** out of Manny Pacquiao. And he (Pacquiao) knows that," Mayweather told the website boxing talk yesterday.

Still, Mayweather admitted that Pacquiao’s second-round demolition of Ricky Hatton was impressive, but said that the Filipino’s best won’t be enough to beat him.

"A very, very good performance. He’s a very good fighter, but he could never beat me. Ricky Hatton never listened to my dad (Floyd Sr.), if he had followed my dad it would have been different, but he never listened from the word go."

While Pacquiao has refused to divulge who among Mayweather, Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley and Juan Manuel Marquez is his preference for his Oct. 17 fight, it’s been widely believed that the pound-for-pound king has his eyes trained on the loudmouthed Mayweather Jr.

Team Pacquiao said the identity of who Pacquiao fights next will be known after the July 18 Mayweather-Marquez showdown.

It would be a hard to stage a Mayweather-Pacquiao match owing to the egos involved.

Being unbeaten prior to his ‘retirement’ in 2008, Mayweather will insist that he deserves the lion’s share of the profit in the event a fight with Pacquiao is discussed.

That really depends. Sa pinakita ni Mayweather kay Marquez, mukha ngang dito masusubukan bilis ni manny. Its a question of manny being able to deliver hard hitting punches at lighting speed, way before mayweather can roll his shoulders, and be able to slip out of the counter just in time.

But before that happens, Manny neads to get passed cotto muna. It will be the perfect tune up for him to beating natural welterweights. Cotto is smart, and very much in his prime. And Manny has to have a decisive win on this. If he wins a close decision, then he is in trouble if he faces mayweather. If he dominates cotto, then mayweather is in trouble. But if manny loses, you can forget it, there is no more reason for the fight to happen

And so it has now come to this. The last great fight of Manny Pacquiao's career. Will it push thru? We will see. However, if it does push thru, even after what we've seen, I am not anymore as confident as this fight with Cotto that Manny will win. PBF has power, and speed.

I was frightened for Manny in his first few rounds against Cotto, so how much more against PBF?

The Cotto win will put Manny on the verge of the world's Top 10 GOAT boxers. A convincing win over PBF will cement that.

Roach wants Mayweather…but only if the price is right

By Shaun Campbell: Saturday night Manny Pacquiao sensationally stopped a true welterweight champion in his prime. Miguel Cotto was taken to hospital after he lost his World Boxing Organization title to the “Pacman”. Freddie Roach has since commented that he would love the super fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather to happen. “It’s the fight everyone wants to see” stated Roach after the fight. But the deal would have some problems with Bob Arum representing Manny Pacquiao, who has previously had conflict with members of the Mayweather camp.

It’s also thought that Mayweather would want 65% of the PPV sales and ticket income. Roach has said “he won’t be getting that”. Why is Mayweather entitled to so much more money than Pacquiao, who is now thought to be the true pound for pound king?

Depending on what team Pacquiao say, it could be seen that Mayweather is “ducking” Manny. He is now the WBO welterweight champion, so Mayweather hasn’t got as much bargaining tools as he may think. The likely outcome is that the fight will happen sometime early in 2010 (if Mayweather decides he doesn’t need a tune-up fight). Mayweather claims he’s still pound for pound king, but to end any controversy there’s one man he still needs to beat to be recognized universally as the top man. This is his own views, as he said after the Marquez fight. He said there are still some fighters left he needs to defeat before he hangs up his gloves for good.

The Pacquiao camp seem confident of a showdown with Mayweather if Bob Arum can make it happen. Pacquiao is just concentrating on fighting…and singing. About an hour after the fight he headed across the strip to sing as a guest in a concert. Pacquiao has done his part to make the fight happen, Mayweather now has to live up to his end of the deal. Roach believes any other fight for Mayweather or Pacquiao would leave fight fans around the world disappointed. The world awaits one more time for a mega bout involving Floyd Mayweather. This time, probably smashing the PPV sales of De La Hoya/Mayweather. One more time Mayweather has to make a decision whether he has the heart and desire left to fight to cement his place in boxing history as one of the greatest of all time.
