No book ever came close to changing my life. Some got me thinking hard maybe but not to change my views entirely.

The Christian Bible did not make me an atheist.
I was a teen-age douchebag not because of Salinger's novel.

And I'm certain I didn't turn out sporting the alternative lifetsyle/orientation because of Oscar Wilde. Ha-ha!

I appreciate all these gamut of philosophy-cum self help books by who-else-but Coelho and his legion but I guess it's not my cup of tea.

The Art of War notable for me though. And yeah, those goddam Cisco books!!!!!

Neither. You become retarded. What I dislike with polaristic antagonists (left or right) is that they ridicule that side they 'belong' (like idiotic hippies to the left is the fundies on the right). Esp. Beck, he uses idiotic non-coherent scare tactics that is more gossip than political statement is retarded.

Double Your Dating by David DeAngelo aka Eben Pagan
This led me to believe that it is possible to be good with women, but you must learn several inconvenient truths about women and disabuse your mind about the BS that your socio-cultural environment taught you about women and dating.

I think it'd be The Purpose Driven Life, Og Mandino's The Greatest Salesman in the World and The Bible. Backreading some of the recommendations here, would love to get a read of them some time.

the above post was really old by can't help but reply.

just a reminder... we filipinos were enslaved in our very own land for hundreds of years by the spaniards, or have we forgotten already? at least yung mga blacks, let's say here in the US, they were brought here to be slaves. wala silang masyadong nagawa non kasi wala sila sa sarili nilang teritoryo to get help from. and i can say filipinos are still slaves of political mockery peddled by the oligarchs up to this day, something we inherited from our old spanish rulers. just my 2 cents.
