Kung madami ako pera enough to lead a decent life for me and family and provide good but not necessarily expensive education for the kids. No way. Masarap maging Filipino sa Pilipinas.

It's a case by case basis, but it depends what "madami kang pera" means.

Those who earn (I hate giving arbritary figures but let's say) P200k/month in the philippines would be considered "rich". Such person would be able to rent a nice house and hire maids and drivers and send their kids to good schools. I think most people like that would be content in staying in manila.

Those earning the same amount (P200k/month) in a first world country would have a much more humble lifestyle. You'd need at least P1m/month to have anything close to what you'd get in manila.

Granted, there are some things like safety and clean air that money can't buy and not everyone wants that "rich" lifestyle, but I'm sure it's a consideration.

Dito pa rin (sa Canada at sa US) para kasing worth talaga ng ginagastos mo yung mga nakukuha mong serbisyo, basta, hirap i explain eh.
Pero syempre, gusto ko pa rin umuwi sa 'pinas from time to time, hindi para mamuhay for good kundi para magbakasyon.

This is more than enough reason for me not to think of migrating to another country.

I don't know when I get my grad, I like to teach in Asia as political science professor maybe. I don't know if I can live in the Philippines forever, nor in America. I want to travel the rest of my life. But I am for sure going to buy a house in Tagaytay in the future.

I lived in US for 6 years and now 1 year here in Canada and counting.
Yeah, we pay taxes pero kita naman walang traffic (at least where I live ha, )even the public school, talagang ang quality ng education wala akong masabi, my boys are both in school (JK and 2nd grader), 16 to 17 students, with two teachers and 3 assistant teachers, have computer access.Sa atin, para maka avail ng ganong klaseng quality ng school, you need to pay hundreds of dollars sa private. The 911 services is talagang reliable, the hospitals, malinis talaga, poor and rich have the same access of healthcare, pero of course yung super rich can afford ang super private room na parang hotel, but I'm just saying....

isa pa yan, kahit simple lang ang trabaho mo, ma e enjoy mo talaga, pag summer, you can afford to go on a vacation and be luxurious a li'l bit, sa pinas, wala puro trabaho pero kulang pa rin, ang isang araw na absent, laking kawalan.

    haayy nakaka-miss talaga..

That's bagoong, not kakanin, but kakanin can be another reason for me not to leave this country.
