FOR: Southwest Monsoon enhanced by Tropical Storm "HAIKUI"

The Southwest Monsoon enhanced by TS "HAIKUI" located 300km NE of Taiwan will continue to bring occasional to frequent rains over Luzon becoming moderate to heavy rains in the provinces of Ilocos, La Union, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Lagu
na, Batangas and National Capital region today until tomorrow with gradual improvement of weather condition by Thursday and onwards to the weekend. Expect landslides/flashfloods in mountainous areas and floods in low lying areas.

Due to the floods in major Philippine areas, Malacañang ordered the suspension of work in private companies in the National Capital Region and major cities affected by the flood.

Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said on twitter @dawende, "At 940, ES suspends work in private offices in NCR, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Laguna, Cavite, Rizal n Bulacan."

Lacierda next tweet said it was Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa, Jr. who announced the suspension.

For those who were asking, the suspensions cover BPOs/Call Centers as well. As per @noynoyaquino's tweet, "Call Centers/BPO's included in work suspension according to Presidential Spokesperson Abi Valte."

Moreover, the government is now enforcing forced evacuation for residents near the Marikina river for it has breached 19-meter level this morning. Update: "As of 10:32 am, water level of #Marikina River is 20.0 meters from 19.0 meters as of 8:00 am" as per Abiso Marikenyo.
