    The Roman Catholic Church Law

    Is it permitted in the roman catholic church for second cousins to get married? See i have this friend who's planning to marry his second cousin. But they're not sure if it is allowed.

    Their parents are first cousins.

    Kindly help us understand the church's stand on this..

    under sa law ng roman catholic ay hindi magpakasal ang 1st cousin hanggang 3rd cousin... yan ang alam ko sa law ng roman catholic...

    that's incorrect. what is prohibited is only up to the 4th degree of consanguinity in the collateral line. in common parlance it is referred to as 1st cousin. beyond that margin, it is already permited by the catholic church.
