Is it permitted in our legal system for second cousins to get married either in civil or in church?
Yes it is allowed.
Under the law those who are prohibited to get married are collateral blood relatives up to the fourth civil degree.
Fourth civil degree is up to 1st cousin.
Hence, legally speaking, 2nd cousins is allowed to get married.
Classic example: Mikey Arroyo and her wife, who is her 2nd cousin, Angela Montenegro.
