I tried to contact the vda-epm and inquired about the review fee this afternoon and the person in charge told me that review fee per paper is P22,400 inclusive of all the materials..I thought the review fee is P10,000 per paper.I'm not sure if tama ba yong sinabi ng babae na nakasagot don sa akin na that's really the review fee per paper daw.Ang super mahal naman if ganun..hehe.
Mukhang ang bilis nila magbago ng review fee, maybe if they incorporated all the review materials that you can buy separately from Mutual Bookstore. But you don't have to go for a formal review since all the reviewers they can offer are PICPA-reviewers who have not taken the CIMA exams too. You might be better off enrolling at the online CIMA review for 50 pounds per paper.
Also, there is a Pakistani website that offers free downloads of all past cima papers with solutions or at least with post-exam guides http://kaka-pakistani.blogspot.com/
Those who sat for the exam last November did it without the benefit of a formal review, all of them except for one person failed, according to my CIMA source.
Kaya huwag mawalan ng pag-asa, meron ding mga free downloadables na Official Learning Systems (the official book) pagtiyagaan mo lang maghanap sa internet.
Sa AIM, I ordered the complete set of CIMA materials for the ten papers for the library. If you have access to the library you might be able to see the materials.
Thank you sir sa mga provided links.
oh really?pwede pala mag self-review nalang if ganun, but which is much better?to go for a formal review or to reiview nalang on your own?i tried to call picpa today and i was being referred to a certain bookstore that is authorized to sell CIMA learning materials and CIMA practice exams (all are 2010 edition). They still have some availabe stocks pa for E1, E2 & P2 daw except for P2 whose practice exam book is already out of stocks na.
hi sir larry i have been busy this past few months, i think November na ko mag eexam huhuhuu hirap mag-aral ulit for this
Finally, I got my CIMA materials from Mutual Books. The Official Learning System costs P2,700 per title, the Practice Exam Kit costs P1,400 & the Revision Notes (index card size) costs P700. I got the E2, P2 & F2 titles in preparation for the CMGA - the qualifying paper to go straight the the strategic level papers. Sana pumasa.

To those who got confused about the CIMA Curriculum, especially those who got the flyers from PICPA, please be advised that there's a change in the paper titles starting 2010. CIMA changes/updates its body of knowledge every 5 years.
In 2009, the papers are divided into Managerial Level (6 papers), Strategic Level (3) papers & the TOPCIMA. The body of knowledge is divided into three pillars; namely: Management Accounting Pillar (P1, P2, P3), Business Management Pillar (P4, P5, P6), and Financial Management Pillar (P7, P8, P9).
Starting 2010, the 3 Pillars are (1) Enterprise Pillar, (2) Finance Pillar & (3) Performance Measurement Pillar.
The Managerial Level was split into Operating Level (3 papers - E1, F1, P1) and Managerial Level (3 papers - E2, F2, P2).
The Strategic Level papers were renamed E3, F3, P3.
If you are a CPA, you are exempted from F1, F2, & P1. You still need to take the E1, E2 and P2 paper from the operating level and the managerial level before you can take the strategic papers.
If you have an MBA, instead of taking E1, E2 & P2, you can opt to take the CMGA qualifying paper. The CMGA paper covers all the Managerial Level Papers with emphasis on certain topics. If you pass this paper you go straight to the Strategic Level.
Hays, I don't know where to start my review, kung sa topic na alam ko na like P2 - Performance Management, o sa topic na medyo bago pa sa akin like business consolidation in F2 - Financial Management.
hi...nag inquire ako sa VDA-EPM, mga nsa apat palang daw ang ng enroll sa cima review class nila.siguro dahil namahalan ata gusto mg review sa review fee nila na P22,400/subject.I took the cfa exam level 1 last december 2009 without also enrolling into formal review and luckily, i passed naman.ayaw ko na mg take sa cfa level 2 kasi *** nature naman ng work ko ay mas more now on management accounting kaysa finance side *** i feel CIMA or CMA is best for me.I would prefer CIMA over CMA US or CMA australia as CIMA is recognized for migration purposes.CIMA has a mutual recognition with CMA canada and CPA australia while CMA US and CMA austalia dont have.CIMA has an advanced standing when u also want to apply for ICAA program in australia kaya mas maganda parin ang CIMA talaga but CIMA definitely tougher and more difficult to obtain than CMA US and CMA australia.hehehe.
Out of stocks na pala ang E1, E2 and P2 nalang ang avaialble.sana noh meron nalang mahiraman para tipid hehe. I will try to drop by at the mutual bookstore on monday afternoon to buy that E2 and P2 book.I have a question here..if you decide to register for the CIMA exam, do u need to send or email your credentials to CIMA before registration for you to avail of the exemptions from those subjects?
hi sir larry..yong mga nagtake ba ng CIMA exam last november 2009 na binanggit mo from your previous posts, did they enroll themselves ba sa CIMA online review or they just reviewed on their own lang poh?if i wont decide to enroll myself in the online CIMA review, will the chance for me in passing the cima exam be quite slim?
ah talaga meron na pala stocks sa E1, sabi kasi nung babae na nakausap ko nung last tuesday this week na out of stock na *** E1.thanks po sa info Larry. I will try to call them tomorrow to check if meron na talaga silang stocks for E1 book.![]()
