Today is the Finals of ACPACI's Search for Outstanding Accountancy Students. I watched the first two case presentations from UP-Iloilo & Ateneo de Davao. I must say that the powerpoint presentation of UP-Iloilo is very good. Although, they falter somehow in the Q&A portion when answering a question on valuation, they used the Gordon's perpetual growth dividend model with a 20% perpetual growth assumption, which is indefensible. But overall their presentation is very good. I missed watching UP Diliman presenting.
Next year their will be a case presentation competition, the winning team of which will be sent to Malaysia to compete for the CIMA Global Challenge.
It will be good for interested students & faculty members to download the Paper 10 - TOPCIMA from the www.cimaglobal.com to get familiarized with the cases used for the competition.
CIMA is UK-based and is recognized in Commonwealth countries. I suggest you visit the www.cimaglobal.com site to know more about CIMA.

Hi Sir Larry, I checked the CIMA website, the registration is GBP60.
Meron din silang annual subscription of GBP90. Is this the fees you are referring above? Also, I saw in their website may testing center sa manila, where specifically po? I plan to register to this exam.
Thanks!
BTW, I also checked the PICPA website, walang info about CIMA exam![]()
That's the correct annual subscription & registration fees for 2010. Hindi pa sure kung saan ang venue, pero definitely it is in cooperation with PICPA. Please see the announcement above about the formal half-day review on weekends for E1, E2 & P2 - the papers CPAs are still required to take at the managerial level. The review will be conducted in Ateneo, either at their Makati or Rockwell Campus.
Thank you Sir. I plan to review online tsaka hindi ako nakapag register ng Jan 31, late ko na nalaman. Will register before July 31.
For me, this is the best project of PICPA - going global. Sana they will have more info on their website and magkaroon ng representative si CIMA dito sa Phils para madali magprocess ng papers. I read kasi you have to submit thru mail your credentials to cima abroad when registering as a student.
^^Pwede pala thru fax.![]()
Pwede pa po bang mag enroll for Intensive Review for CIMA? Thanks!
