since there's a gap between the 2 containers, baka dyan pumasok ang tubig sa stair.
btw, how do you secure the container? kailangan ng cement flooring/foundation? or do you need to weld the 4 corners?
Kahit 6 post foundation pwede and just elevate is as much as you can. Even high enough to have a carport under it. You'll a stair though. You can nut and bolt them or have connectors to lock them together. Locking holes are placed around the vans.
hirap kasi ng walang pera, di kami makabili ng lote, so rent lang kami. we need the space and we need to be here sa manila since our business is here din, hirap mag byahe tapos aabutan ka pa ng baha.
kaya naisip ko ang container house.
@cyberfunk ganda ng mga naisip mo ah. pwede ba mag pa design sayo? pag may time ako gawa ako rough sketch post ko dito hehehe
Yeah post your sketches para maganda. It's good to promote the use of container vans kase it's virtually scraps na kase. Kahit sa US they have thousands of these and they don't how they can get rid of it eh. Maganda ma utilize ng mga concern groups ito like for clean public rest rooms or Bathrooms sa mga depressed communities to promote health and public safety. Emergency shelters while waiting for relocation sites for informal settlers.. Kung residential houses, with the proper design pwede mong ipagmalaki ang house mo like what they are doing in Europe. 50% ang cost nito compare sa cheapest conventional house.
Check the "Container" category in commercial yellow pages. For example,
According to the print ads, some of them make homes, restaurants, schools, etc., using container vans.
Ah he he ang galing parang JENGA blocks.
Hehe yeah, come to think of it. Mukha ngang JENGA blocks. Ang cool nung sa site nila, a community (6 houses lang actually) of container van homes.
Yeah. Sana nga locally we should advocate the use of this. Kase in other countries nag uupisa na sila. Ganito yun concept din kase ng isa sa pinaka admired kong Architect na si William McDonough and his partner a former Greenpeace activict adn renowed chemist na si Michael Braungart. They call this Upcycling and not recycling. Actually making this better from the discarded materials. Sustainability has few basic materials namely steel, aluminum and glass.
I agree. Been thinking the same thing. And wouldn't it look so cool? You would think it's a downgrade from a conventional house, but looking at the designs and interior available on the internet, I was really impressed!
Hehe this is cute ... I wouldn't think of living in one pero I can see one being a shed ... my personal multimedia, home-theater shed :-) or a workshop sa likod ng bahay.
Smart uses this sa kanilang venture sa internet cafe ... yung Smart Click ... kasya mga 10 to 15 computers per 40feet container. Thinking outside the box!
