Is AMA better than UST?

Hello? i-compare ba naman ang isang low class school gaya ng AMA sa UST??!! My God, whoever started this thread is bobo. Kaming mga Thomasians ay never na magiging ka-level ninyong mga tiga-AMA noh?! Ang taas namin and your so low, as in to the lowest level na. AMA students are social-climbers...Eeeeewww!

di ka man taga ust eh sinisiraan mo lang ang school para magalit mga taga ama and iba.

Generally, UST is far better university than AMA pero meron din namang advantage ang AMA as to Computer courses offered.

If you plan to take IT courses including CISCO, I think AMA has a better deal than UST. If you want to take medical and financial courses, UST has better teachings than AMA....

Graduate ako ng UST sa Accounting at thanks God... CPA na ako...

at nag take uli ako ng second course...IT and took my CISCO sa AMA....

So no big deal kung sino ang magaling.... usually nasa tao pa din iyon.

Aanhin mo ang pagiging UST kung ang Transcript mo puro Drop at Cinco..hehhee ganuun din sa AMA....

I have been in the school for 4 days and i was not amaze of how your school policies are being applied. Currently, preliminary examinations are ongoing unfortunately i was not aware of this. Professors are mentioning this examination days ago, but they never tell new student on how the process on this school is going.

I went to my classroom today expecting that we are going to discuss lectures that is not yet cover. However, students from different sections and courses are occupying our classroom. I was not able to take the examinations. This is very hard on my part.


Please advise.

Okay rin ICS sa UST. Kapatid ko and classmates niya, I can say na successful sila ngayon earlier in their careers and galing silang UST. Madami ako kakilala na Thomasians na nagwowork sa mga top IT companies.

2 newly grad of Com Eng from UST and AMA with the same gen ave., sino sa palagay nyo ihihire ng company? I think the answer is obvious. I like both universities but comparing the two?! this is a troll thread.

Excuse me, I beg to disagree. In the field of IT, mas magaling ang AMA ano.
Susme, yong mga IT uste students sa UST Thread , meron nagtanong sa kanilang thread (IT thread) kung anomng OS ang mga main servers ng UST sa mga applications nila, eh hindi nila masagot, Ang binaggit na OS ay yong OS ng PC(workstation nila) sa lab nila. Hindi yata nila ma-distinguish ang OS ng server at OS ng workstation(PC). Haaay nakaka-dis-appoint.

Patulan ko lang to kasi masakit sa part ko as an IT student from ust

it's Microsoft Windows server 2008 for the server, windows XP sp3 for the workstations.

And for the topic, nung early 2000s AMA. pero ngayon, i do not know. Maybe us, My co-programmers in my company are not from AMA either

Napakataas naman ng mga thomasian...nakakahiya naman sa inyo.

kawawa naman kasi yung ibang grads ng school na yung, kung pakakapatulan pa namin, at bansagan pa ng kung ano anong pangiinsulto.

FEU is FEU, and we knew what we have achieved in the past 80 years.

Pag laos na ang nursing as a course, mawawala naman na yung schools na pinanggalingan ng lumalait sa FEU, but FEU would still continue to exist.

siguro naman yun na lang ang dapat isipin ng iba dito.

I'll take the AMA grad in a heartbeat....

seriously, I've been in the IT field for more than 16 years now and I could speak highly of those IT professionals out of AMA university......although they didn't start out strongly (during the late 90s to the early 2000s), they've been able to gain better grounds.....I was able to work with several AMA graduates and they were all good....even here at Singapore, I had already worked with some AMA IT grads and their IT skills are very impressive......

I would have to say that UST is a great school but I don't think it's at par with AMA in terms of IT courses.....

Agree ako sayo dito sir, graduate ako ng AMA then currently working as programmer. Sa team namin sa work, bale yung team lead namin is drop out sa AMA then yung 1 senior programmer analyst namin is nag master's degree sa AMA then 1 QA ay graduate din ng AMA. Bale 4 kaming graduate ng AMA sa team then yung iba is halo halo na 12 kami bale sa team. I agree na mas magaling ang AMA but still siguro depende pa din sa estudyante yan. Competitive ang AMA sa programming then madami din magagaling sa networking.

I think you should talk directly sa school director kung may issue kang ganito, sigurado magagawan agad ng solution yang problema mo. Meron akong mga naging classmate na kinausap mismo yung director dahil mga issue na nakita nila. Meron din talagang hindi magaling magturo na instructors sa AMA sa proj. 8 Q.C. pero meron din namang magagaling.
