    weldseal = P 1,400 per gallon Php17.50 per sq.m

NO MORE CONCRETE NEUTRALIZER... NO MORE TWO WEEKS CURING TIME...
Yes tholits, as the saying goes in the industry.. coverage depends on surface porosity. And, a gallon of any coating (may it be paint, sealer, etc.) can only cover that much to be effective.. amen

We can submit it to DOST for actual testing of coverage area and we can post the results here if you want. It wont take long naman to test it.

Thank you sir tholits. But may I ask how much ang isang 200ml na additive mixed to 1 liter of flat latex paint? If you multiply it by 4 you will get the exact amount per gallon. Is it cheaper than just buying elastomeric paints in the market (with different colors na)? I know permacoat is like P 410 per gallon + 800ml of additive kaya is how much sir?

Oh, just for reference. FlexSeal Elastomeric Paint is P 475.00 per gallon with various colors na.

Well, sir tholits - I stand corrected sa manufacturer na foreigner - very sorry about that. But years in market ng product ang posted ko before not years of company. 24 years na ang Campbridge (www.campbridge.com) and ang supplier ng Campbridge which is BASF (www.basf.com) is more than 140 years na

    Peace.

Can weld seal or Prime R be applied to an already neutralized wall and primed with boysen flat latex?

    arnolds,

It will defeat the purpose of sealing your walls. It should be used on bare concrete to do away with concrete neutralizer and helps cure the concrete. (among other benefits)

    Hope that helps.

Part of the problem is my painter already started and I'm thinking of using either of these products now.

Actually I heard this problems with lots of customers from Wilcon Builders Depot and Supplys because this products are fairly new to the market - painters are not yet aware that this products exists.

tholits and me are just some of the people trying to inform people that this products are in the market now through this kinds of forums and through tholits trade fairs (Manilacon) and other fairs like Conex and hopefully Philconstruct later in the year.

We hope you guys can also teach our painters the new way to paint walls

    Peace.

Sorry Sir Arnold pero ang Weldseal dapat ang may direct contact sa concrete substrate... to separate wall dampness, to seal off all hairline cracks and at the same it will serve as moisture barrier

I suggest you use Prime-R for your unpainted wall. Benefit are as follows:

    1. Seals your wall against moisture penetration.
    2. Prepares your wall for application of paint.
    3. Protects against efflorescence (the white stuff that leach through paint).
    4. Prevents topcoat defects.
    5. Reduces overall material and labor cost by reducing the amount of paint absorbed by your new wall.
    6. Alkali resistant (pH 9.5)

    Hope that helps

    help!

what process and paint can you recommend to prevent wall paint bubbling/peeling?

    some details:
    - 5 yr old house with concrete walls
    - paint bubbling/peeling occurs on the bottom of the interior wall (up to 2ft from the floor); may salt deposit na lumalabas (effloresence)
    - already tried applying a new layer of palitada + drylok pero palpak pa rin. after 2days nagpeel na ulit ang paint.

this is getting frustrating! please help! thanks!

^ may water or moisture yun bubbles?

  13. #73
May moisture yung iba.

    try this:
    remove existing paint.
    apply wall putty.
    apply primer.
    apply topcoat.

    question po (no ads please)

We used flat latex 701 and Flexseal glossy elastomeric paint.

Sa buong bahay kasi namin, both exterior and interior, we used flat latex (701 boysen) at elastomeric paints. Kailangan ba talaga acrytex ang gamitin?

  17. #76
no matter the additional expense, you must not forget using a good primer (no matter how most manufacturers say that their products are primerless) before whatever topcoat you use.

also, a very good putty is not meant to be mixed with any other product. the purpose of the putty is to smoothen out uneven and pinholed surfaces.

most of the time, we try to cut costs in the short run and end up paying more in the long run. sometimes the key is to consider your projects as investments.

    hope this helps.

    Miletjs,

If you used Boysen 701 flat latex as your primer, then you should use acrytex cast as putty. For topcoat use either boysen permacoat, wallguard, titan or acrytex. Straight Boysen paint.

Boysen has a good customer and technical support.

I also used Flexseal Elastomeric Paint for exterior but I used their Flexseal Primer (Prime R). For putty I used patching compound mixed with flexseal elastomeric paint as recommendation of campbridge. Straight Flexseal Paint. 4 years had past until now the building exterior is still watertight.

Eh ginawa na nun painter namin na i mix yun patching compound sa 701 tapos yun ang ginamit nya for both exterior and interior. Hays. Ayaw namin i sacrifice ang quality sa cost. Nakakainis naman.

Does that mean papabakbak ko pa lahat ng pintura?

My guess is because it sealed all the pores.

    Thank you.
