    Accenture - Associate Software Engineer

    Meron po bang may alam kung anung programming language ang gamit ng Accenture sa job position na yan?


    Yung Job Desciption:

    • * Coding and testing program modules that meet design specifications
    • * Maintaining, tuning and repairing applications to keep them performing according to technical and functional specifications;
    • * Preparing test plans according to functional and technical specifications
    • * Executing and documenting results of tests necessary to ensure that an application or technical environment meets performance requirements
    • * Executing conversion plans and documenting possible improvements; identifying disruptions in the processes
    • * Proactively contributing to the technical design process through the analysis of application requirements and the creation of technical design documents
    • * Facilitating technical design discussions or walkthroughs
    • * Implementing the technical infrastructure, including networks, platforms and servers, enterprise enabling, application enabling, security and operations management
    • * Integrating of technical and application components to meet business requirements
    • * Providing user support by addressing business inquiries and issues

    general kasi yung description na associate software engineer as a position, sir. meaning across the solutions workforce pag entry level ka, associate software engineer title mo regardless of the programming language or capability mo. given the job description you posted, the programming language is anyones guess. maginquire ka na lang directly sa accenture. they're friendly naman and they don't bite.

    Exactly... and kung associate software engineer ka ng pumasok ka sa accenture they might provide bootcamps for any programming languages. Difficulty of work depends on the project. pero mas maganda sa AO na project for me. you'll learn a lot from your day to day job. and maganda career growth sa accenture..

    AO = Application Outsourcing...

    For the bootcamps, you will be assigned according to business needs. Depende kung sang capability ka mapupunta.. Testing, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP at kung san san pa..

    For the bond, yes meron... 2yrs. But for the trainings and resources, as well as yung matutunan mong processes... i think, 2 yr bond is fair enough.

    my classmate ako n nagwowork jan *****. sa huling balita ko, COBOL ang gmit nya. pro sbi nya skin, dpende dw s project.

    is it safe to apply na ba sa acenture? tapos na ba tanggalan nila dyan?

    i think safe naman na ***** kasi nung hindi pa safe eh nag freeze hiring sila. maganda sa accenture if you are a fresh grad or nagsisimula pa lang ng career pero if you have experience already, I suggest to look for another company na lang kasi ang baba nila magpasweldo sa may mga experience na. meron kasi sila benchmarking ng sweldo kung anung level ka mapupunta at hindi pede dun tumaas ang sweldo mo kaya walang kwenta ang asking price.

    Anyone here from Accenture?

    Meron bang taga-Accenture dito? Nakita ko kasi *** ad for Assoc Software Engr. Sana may makapag-refer sakin dito coz I really wanted to be part of the company so bad . Ganda raw kasi dito pag IT. BTW, I'm an ECE grad wanted to venture a career in IT. Thanks!

    Are you sure you want to be a part of this company? Hindi sa tinatakot kita or whatsoever pero I would say, hindi na maganda sa Accenture. their golden age has ended, it's just a plain BPO company and nothing special. Below are my reasons bakit hindi na maganda sa acn.

    - Right now the solutions workforce has 9 working hours policy so they can compete with India Delivery Centers for projects.
    - You cannot choose your career path, the schedulers will just have to patch you in sa kung ano anong projects.
    - No more work life balance dahil sa dami ng O.T. (siguro depende sa project.)
    - Crabmentality in action, core values are violated even by your superiors.
    - Marami nang chismoso at chismosa na maninira sayo. (Nasaan ang respect for the individual.)
    - Konti nalang ang mga managers na nakikinig sa saloobin ng empleyado.

    If I were you, if you have the guts, the skills and the credentials, why not look for other opportunities, ang dami dyan walang 100k bond, offers training and pays more compared to acn.

    ok naman sa accenture pero wag lang yun ang maging option mo na company. marami pang mas maganda na IT company sa tabi-tabi pero maganda rin naman sa accenture if you really want experience. after two years, pwede kang lumipat sa iba and you can get more than thrice ng initial offer nila. that is coming from a former accenture employee at totoo rin yung mga negative feedbacks sa taas.

    yung mga negative feedback with accenture mas madami pa kesa sa nakalista sa taas. here are the others:

    1. Dati convertible sa cash ang VL pero ***** hindi na at di mo rin magamit talga *** VL mo dahil sa di ka papayagan lalo na kung nasa prj ka dahil billable ka. Sobrang OT without pay na tipong kayod kabayo ka na sa pag pasok mo ng weekends and holidays pero meal allowance lang ang binibigay at dapat pinayagan ka ng manager mo na mag OT.
    2. Dati kaya ka nag OT kahit walang OT pay is dahil meron Individual Performance Bonus every year pero inalis na rin nila.
    3. Every year eh hindi guaranteed nag increase sa sweldo at walang promotion masyado at pati napromote eh sobrang liit ng increase ngaung fiscal year nila dahil sa nangyaring recession kaya mga employee dun eh nag reresign na.
    4. Sobrang dami ng tinanggal nila sa sobra as in thousands ng employee lalo na mga hindi regular, mga nasa bench, at mga walng project. Even you are an experience at galing ka sa prj na bigla nabench is nasama sa mga tinanggal nila.
    5. Mas marami ang sira ang career path kesa sa mga contented sa work nila.
    6. Dahil sa nangyaring recession *** xmas party nila eh tinanggal na rin or meron ng bayad.
    7. Meron silang Objectives settings na hindi naman talaga sinusunod *** nakalagay kasi sabi nila basta magawa mo mga nakasulat dun or above pa sa expectation eh malaki chance mo mapromote pero hindi naman talaga nangyayari at kahit kausapin mo *** HR nila eh sasabihin lang *** na wala silang magagawa kung decision ng manager mo na di ka ipromote. malakas ang pulitika sa loob ng ACN. kahi magaling ka kung hindi ka kilala ng mangaer mo eh luge ka. mas napro2mote pa *** mga kasali sa xtra curricular activities like photography at nag arrange ng party.

    Although puro negative ang feedback ko with ACN, basahin nio *** post ko na nauna na encourage ko naman para sa mga fresh grad ang pagpasok sa ACN dahil wala pa silang malay sa mga ganun at akala pa nila eh maganda dun. hehe.

    after kong umalis sa accenture, dun ko na-realize na sobrang lugi ako sa SL conversion and OT pay. minsan oncall ako pag weekends or holidays pero ang bayad lang is meal and transpo allowance at pahirapan pang mag-charge ng 12 hours sa ARTES dahil di naman laging may issue sa shift namin.

    swerte pa pala ako nung second year ko kasi nagkaroon pa ako kahit na 3500 na increase kahit di promoted...hehehe. expected naman yun na kapag hindi satisfied employee, aalis sila. kaya nga madami ang umaalis after september.

    actually, PFF means Palakasan Feedback Form. Kahit na ano pang na-achieve mo within the year, kung hindi ka naman malakas sa kinauukulan ng project ay madaling maghanap ng mali kaysa makita yung mga tamang nagawa mo. tapos gasgas na ang word na proactive.

    Yeah, i got offered the job last week but I declined. Di ko kasi alam kung anong technologies ang itratrain sa akin eh.

    Btw, when they offered me the job, they said that they only had one position left (including me).
