Position Description:
Accountable for the overall service delivery, people management and customer relationships and also ensuring company objectives are met. Maintain and support a range of existing reports, in Business Objects (version 5.1 and XI), providing these reports on a regular cycle to meet the reporting calendar
Make changes to the existing (Business Objects version 5.1 and XI) reports, in accordance with Thomson Reuters standards
Migrate existing reports, which may have been originally developed in a range of technologies, to Business Objects (version 5.1 and XI) in accordance with Thomson Reuters standards
Develop new reports, in Business Objects (version 5.1 and XI) in accordance with Thomson Reuters standards.
Qualifications
Attributes/Experience:
At least 2-5 years experience in developing and maintaining reports and universes using Business Objects
Experience of Business Objects XI (note that a strong candidate with no experience of version XI of Business Objects could be considered, but would require a period of training)
Working in a role or team where the primary function is the delivery of reports / performance management
In-depth MS Excel experience (including Visual Basic for Applications (VBA))
Experience of working with Siebel would be an advantage
Experience of working in an environment where data was published or collected via websites would be an advantage
The following additional skills are helpful (for understanding existing reports) but not essential: Access, Java, SQL, HTML
Self-motivated, dynamic (able to respond to changing priorities) and able to work with minimal supervision (commitment to deliver to agreed timescales)
Ability to work under pressure and to exacting time scales on occasion.
