    - Loved the Jay-Gloria exchange of banters re: physical labor.

    - Cameron's reaction to the Mom who disliked Meryl Streep on Mamma Mia = hilarious! "Excuse me. Meryl Streep could play Batman, and be the right choice."

    - Mitchell stealing another baby's "intellectual property."

    - Cameron's dance.

    - Jay: "The key to being a good dad... Sometimes things work out just the way you want. Sometimes they don't. You gotta hang in there. Because when all is said and done, 90% of being a dad is just showing up."
turned on the closed-captioning for the few minutes of MF sans audio on ABC-seattle (as i mentioned above)...i would've felt phil's "that's too damn bad" punchline a lot more.

anyway...always loving how phil gets into very, VERY awkward situations...sometimes, you feel his pain, but sometimes, it also makes you think, "buti nga sa 'yo!"...

and jay...felt bad for him when his step-son kept talking about his biological dad and how, as jay thought, he's always like "superman"...

this is turning out to be a great sitcom. good writing: an effective blend of comedic and heartwarming moments. the dynamic of the ensemble is very well balanced.

"90% of being a father is just showing up"

looking forward to this being nominated @ next year's emmys considering it follows the way the first two episodes have been.

I also laughed with Phil's interactions with the new neighbor. "I'm a real estate mogul- Whaaat"

Cameron was really the best in that episode, I love both his 'straight' and 'gay' dance

And yeah his face when he said that Meryl Streep was just "okay" on Mamma Mia was so funny.

Jay's story had the least laughs but it was very touching, that was the heart of the episode with their "fatherhood" theme. But I did laughed on his comparison with Manny's father and Superman
"The only way Manny’s Dad is anything like Superman is that they both landed in this country illegally"

    for the second episode

'yung usapan nina jay and gloria about physical labor, and jay's "superman" comment for me were like, "noooo...he didn't just go there!"

cameron going on and on and on and on about meryl streep (especially during the end credits) was a win.

^ Cameron is truly living up with the "drama queen" comment by Jay sa first episode

Edward Norton will guest star on this show pala. It's really surprising that they got him to do a guest stint on a new sitcom, I'm excited how it will work out.

After watching just two episodes, MODERN FAMILY could probably be the most hilarious show on TV right now.

The dad, Phil, is the funniest one. He's indeed like Michael Scott of "The Office"... show-off and always trying hard to be cool.

    WTF... why the face

and the cream puff and Lion King scenes were truly laugh out loud!

Thanks to a certain someone, I caught up with this show. Pretty damn hilarious.

I love Cameron and Phil so far.

Mom got wind of the Phil stole someone else's bike as soon as he took it and I was LAUGHING OUT LOUD!

The moment the new neighbor brought a THIRD BIKE had me blasting through laughs.

The gay guys are super super funny! The intellectual baby property scene was RIOT! It was super funny how he tried sooooo hard to teach Lily to "scoot" and grab. LOL

And the colombian lady! She's sooo funny too.

Wow, gotta love this sitcom! I just love how balanced it is. And at the end, you learn something really valuable.

And I must say, there's not one character that I dislike from the series!

HAHAHA I know! When his gay partner said "He's not that dramatic..." then there he appears, with matching background music of Circle of Life

That's actually true. And for a show that has quite a big ensemble, that is very telling.

    Watching this right now.

at mitchell's first time in Costco.
Mitchell: what they sell wine here? (sees paper shredder "OMG I've wanted this for a long time." looks around "What is this place?")

    Welcome to Costco Mitchell.

Mitchell: These diapers are so cheap. We should buy a bunch for next year.
Cameron: But where will we put them?
    Mitchell: They sell sheds.

Again, the show never fails to crack me up.

And at the last part where all the guys were hugging is such a heartwarming scene.

Episode 3 was another good one. It was nice watching the unexpected bond between Claire and Manny and Gloria and Alex. Both funny and felt very sincere.

And Phil's awkward moments (with Jay and Dylan) --> LOL!

    Mitchell and Cameron's Casablanca connection.

And Manny's dead twin sister =

Breaking: ABC orders full seasons of 'Modern Family', 'Cougar Town,' 'The Middle'
    by Michael Ausiello

This just in: An ABC rep confirms that the network has extended full-season orders to freshman comedies Modern Family, Cougar Town, and The Middle.

Despite experiencing some slippage last night, all three shows have performed solidly in the ratings. Creatively speaking, they’re firing on all cylinders — particularly Modern Family, which continues to live up to all my the hype.

No word yet on back-nine pickups for fellow newbies FlashForward, Hank, Eastwick, and The Forgotten.
