I took NEDA Technical Exam and I passed thank God. I've already passed requirement for the job vacancies. Gaano kaya katagal ang response dito? Sana mataggap ako.

naka-schedule po ako magtake ng exam sa Nov. 13th. totoo po ba na may part na current events? dapat alam mo kahit pano yung current state ng pilipinas etc? yung economic part po as in super technical sya? dapat mgreview talaga tungkol sa theories? salamat po

feeling ko depende sa need at vacancy ng position na inaapplyan mo. yung barkada ko dun nagttrabaho, kwento nya sakin nung sya one year after sya nagsubmit ng application tsaka palang sya tinawagan para mag-exam. ako nagsubmit ako nung july tapos this week lang ako naschedule para sa exam. nakapagsubmit ka na ba ng application mo?

hi @amazed_1035! yup I took the NEDA exam this month (which I must say is one of the most difficult exams I took to date) , lol baka nagkasabay pa tayo sa exam?

Anyway what's the status of your application na? NPPS called up last week but I was unfortunately unavailable for the interview dahil sa current work ko ngayon. Hayyy! sana may mga vacancies pa sa iba..

Tanong ko lang kung saan at paano kayo nag submit ng application niyo?

Walk in ako sa NEDA office sa Ortigas, I guess mas mabilis pag ganun. Dala ko na lahat ng requirements TOR, Certificate of Eligibility, etc that day. I submitted November 6 and was scheduled for exam November 15th. Nagulat ako actually na ganung kabilis ang scheduling.

Took the NEDA Technical Exam 7 months ago at Ortigas. It was one of the hardest pre-employment exams I took considering I already passed exams by Petron and other multinational firms. Engineer by profession here. I will try to remember all of the details as much as possible.

1. Synonyms - 15 items
2. Antonyms - 15 items

Hard because around 80% of the words are new to me or they are not new but I don't know the definition. I read novels. Believe me it's that difficult. Words like quintessential.

Difficulty 5/5 being 5 as the hardest.

3. Wrong Grammar Ident - Around 20 items

Easy if you know basic rules on grammar. Be on the look for spelling and SV agreement. Know the difference between its and it's.

4. Numerical reasoning - Around 40 items

Hard. Skip hard questions. Percent problems. Basic math problems like interest. No calculator allowed. Example. 2.3434 * 3.1332 - 2.4233 or what is the volume of a drum with radius 4 and height of 6. Very difficult if you are used to calculator. Be ready to divide 3.3233 to 2.3233.

5. Number Pattern Recognition - Around 20 items

Moderately Easy. Needs a little math.

6. Essay - Not included in your score but for panel.interview. 1 hour.

Easy. Difficulty 2/5.

7. Reading Comprehension - Hardest RC I took. All the choices are correct. 30 items. 30 mins.

Difficulty 4/5

8. Judgement - 30 items. Given a situation plus 10 facts about a certain problem then around 10 questions to follow. All choices seem correct. 30 mins.

Difficulty 5/5

9. Conclusion - 50 items. Given a statement, determine if the conclusions based on the statement is correct. Very hard. All choices seem possible. 1 hour. 2 choices for 30 problems. 5 choices for 20 problems. Choices can range to True, Probably True, Insufficient Data, Probably False, False.

10. Analogy. 30 items.

We were 15 of us when we took the exam. Only 3 of us passed. All the 15 are CS passers. It was ****ing long and hard. Bring a jacket. The room will be cold. PM me if you have Qs.

I took the exam last Feb and passed. But I haven't receive a call or an email since then. When I went back to their website, nandun naman yung flow ng application process, after you passed the test wala nang ibang gagawin yung applicant,wala naman nilagay dun na magfollow-up. Kaso naiinip na ko kasi one month na, so I assumed di ako natanggap sa inaplayan ko. Well, passing the exam does not mean you'll get hired but definitely you are qualified. So everytime na may job posting sa NEDA, pwedeng apply na lang ng apply.

Then last week may na-meet akong NEDA employees sa isang training, naikwento ko sa kanila na nag-apply ako. Then I asked, yun ba kakong job postings nila sa web eh open position talaga o pinopost lang for formality pero actually may nakaabang na sa position. Then sabi nila, so far daw hindi kumukuha ng outsider ang NEDA for permanent positions, insider usually ang nakakakuha ng item. Yung mga applicante na hindi taga-NEDA contractual positions lang ang nakukuha, then eventually saka na lang nagiging permanent.
